Piston Seized....Should i scrap it or keep it?

My 94 Skipper 125 which i just takeover from a friend last week,suffered from a seized piston and requires general overhaul,that includes changing of the top cylinder,piston,piston rings,crankcase etc from Malossi!Total bill probably can reached up to 2k-2.5k including labour!

 

Anyone can advice whether i should go ahead with the repair or i should just dump the scoot?

I've seen old skippers on sale here @ 300-500 range. overhaul? whats that? give it back to your friend for free bah. lol.

why take every thing from malossi? go for stocks if still too ex.. scrap it.. get a better bike.

Scape it and get some COE back. $2.5k can get a newer bike. As bike get older more and more parts will be breaking down. Now you repair the engine next will be somethings else.
