Troubleshoot ur Super4!

keke..no bah..its old bike da..vtec1..rode by ma dad..but now he no longer ride..got some illness ar..so..im taking over him riding the s4 to werk..but then again...when i got check ma fuse..all still in gd condition..wat i mean is...the coil still intact..but still i change whole fuse since i have some of it..STIll ma odometer doesnt come back to LIFE...ARGHHH...helppp broooss...

 

 

 

 

4 e fuse box, when u open u will find tat odometer does not hab a fuse. so i tink not e fuse lah. since u say quite new means u juz gotten ur bike? still under warranty? if yes go bak n tell em e problem. BTW 10A fuse i buy frm planet $0.50 ea.

Hmmm yesterday while doing my signal light. I burned almost all the fuse. Speedo , RPM all not moving . After replacing all the fuse, all come back to life. Panic like siao. Thats why ask you to check fuse first no harm $0.50 compare to hundreds . Good luck .

wah, u mean u change e whole assembly? tink can juz change e faulty parts can liao mah. 4 eg. e cables or sensors 4 e needle 2 move. v-tec 1 dunno is cable or sensor leh.

hmm..not sure bah..but the ting is..went to few shops..like ASP..sin boon all those shop say need to change the whole speedo sia..haizz...if can change the faulty part..shud be fine though...argh...wat a headache manz..u guys got any idea how to deal wit it??..

Wonder anyone else face this issues like me? I am riding a Ver S and only recently I face this issue. After riding for about 20 to 30 min and off the engine for a while, I can't start it. I keep getting this tick sound, not the normal sound of starting bike. Push start no issues.

 

My battery just changes less than 6 months. Spark plug less than two months. I also checked my coolant and it still within the line. Strange thing is like sometime I ride further(longer) time, I try off it and start it again, no issues. It do not seem to be constand face the issues but it is quite troublesome when u need to start the bike and it won't start.

 

Anyone had any idea what wrong with it? I hope to know roughly what the issues before I go down to a mechanic. Thank You so much.

haf u changed ur rectifier?

Check your charging, can hit 14V?

Check your battery after parking overnight, can read 12.7V?

If both yes, then likely starter carbon or loose contact somewhere.

install a voltmeter - it helps to monitor the rectifier condition while moving & battery condition when engine is off.

 

Also install a headlight switch. When battery is too weak to start engine, switch off the headlight & try starting.

hey bros..i managed to DIY my speedometer..keke...the speedometer came to life but the digitial got some probs ar.

when off ignition..for vtec..the digitial time will be shown when bike is park..but mine is..TOTALLY blank..but then when on ignition ok already..but again u off it...the ting gone...ITS Like resetting ar....headwire ar..keke..

Any idea how much does a voltmeter cost? I already have a switch for the head light.

 

Guess left is to check the starter carbon and rectifier.

 

 

Yesterday evening I went to my mechanic and he point out that this is a carbon issues. Either I changed the carbon for $120 or change the whole thing that contain the carbon(sorry, I don't know what it call) for $300 to $350). He advise to change the whole thing as it will last a whole 10 years plus.

 

What do you all think? Should I change the whole thing?

This morning, I want to start my bike but the moment I started my bike, it went just went dead, even my HISS is not working.

 

I tried again and when I on the ignition again, the light came back on but the moment I started, it went dead again.

 

Anyone can tell me what's the problem and there is a motorshop in Techwhye..is it reliable and trusworthy ?

I don't know ...that's why seeking help here and I just called a tow truck to tow it to Teck Whye to get the problem fix...I also suspect it is battery but need more confirmation

When u last time chage batt? if more than one year 99% should be battery dead, same thing happen to me few weeks ago, just replace it.
