Your new S4 meaning it's FBB plate new bike? If really is a new bike, I doubt it's battery problem.

Did you notice the tachometer meter needles swinging twice?

How is the reputation of this bike shop located at Musatafa and it is just located around shell station - Bike Access Pte Ltd at no 525 Serangoon Road

ya..actually the same thing happend to me before..should be battery.. but good for you , it happened in singapore. mine happend at singapore custom and i had to push it all the way out..

if you try push start , it ill look like its gog to start but it will never start.. i tried on the singpaore custom slope.. get a voltmeter ... it will be good..

most likely for your case it is the battery problem..

Hihi, I think the battery connection is just loose. Could have been that when the Shop first assembled the new bike forgot to tighten the screw holding the +/- wires to the battery. Try to see if thats the case? Hope this helps.

haf u tried push start?

 

I never tried and I think it is too heavy to push start and I worried that I might unbalance myself and drop my new bike and then ....heart pain.

 

This happen to my Phantom before and so I never ever want to do it again

I don't think this is funny and yes, I do not like to push start my bike....any problem with that ?

 

I would rather have it towed and pay $25 for the towing service and whatever it cost to replace spoilt part then have my bike dented or scratch because of my inability to push start the bike

Just cheking if I buy the bike not from the agent itself but from the motorshop, can I actually towed it to boon siew without going thru the motorshop and have it check ?

to push s4 to start is very easy. next time u come for outing, remind me to do a demostration for you. dun worry, its F.O.C. demo for you...

I have gotten my bike back and the boss said my bike is ok and that everything is working fine. He mentioned it is just the battery problem and he has charged it for me but he can't gauranteed me that the same situation will not pop up again.

 

I opted for the battery to be changed and the damaged is $100 inclusive of towing. He told me, he gave me Yuasa or Yausa brand of battery and it is from Japan.....so guys is that consider expensive ? I am willing to pay but I hate to be chop.

 

He also tuned my rpm to slightly below 1000rpm, I notice that is sound different. He told me he did it because mine was previously high at 1.3 - 1.5K rpm and that it will heat up the engine faster...is that okie ?

step by step to push start? heeee... okla tell u but i not a pro..

switch on ur bike n kick to gear 1 or 2. for s4 gear 2 is gd enuf to get da bike to start.

den clutch in n u can push ur self or get sumbody to push while u siiting on ur bike.

once u get a gd enuf speed let go of ur clutch. (der will be quite a jerk cos of da engine brake) bike will start

quickly clutch in so engine wont die agn, rev a lil. (u can put to neutral liao)

play wif ur trottle to get da idling stable. or can increase ur rpm.

let engine run for awhile. once idling stable shld be ok to go.

 

ps. best if got jump cable. easier den push start. can jus jump start \m/

er btw what yuasa batt did he give u? the correct size is yuasa tx10 for spec 2 n spec3 s4s which cost me $150 for replacing it. previously i was using a yuasa tx7 one n the mech told me this batt cost around 70 and is the wrong battery size so i change it.

My mech told me not to always push start for bigger bikes if the ignition cannot ON coz the coil can get easily burn.

 

Thats what he told me.
