no i am not a mechanic nor am i pro in S4, you might wanna ask the moderator shinwa, quicksilver or S4vtech... and others.. as they got more experience in this field.. for mobile tech get s4vtech who is most willing to help at any area where you are... that's why he got the title mobile mechanic..only if he is avaiable

I just got my spec 2, 3 yrs old and i'm facing 2 problems here.

 

1) when travelling and my RPM hits about 5200 - 5300, the bike will start jerking but once its over 5300, it becomes normal. I ask the bike shop, the tech says its normal.

 

2) this is more serious.. almost every other time my bike starts moving, the RPM will drop 1st before increasing. Even if its in neutral, this oso happens. Its affecting the pickup and I have to revv the bike afew times before moving. Went to the bike shop 3 times but they still cannot solve.

 

Any experts can help??

check the steering bearing set, condition of RIM and tire, Rim bearing.

My bike had a dented tank before because of an accident.. the bike shop knock back the tank and now i notice the fuel gauge is not giving out the correct fuel reading of my tank. Anyone out there had a similar experience like mine? Do i need to change to a new fuel level sensor? Wats the price like?

I think that shape of tank is not affected to fuel lever gauge. This problem is only from fuel level sensor inside tank. remove it then check

i gone to bike shop , he tighten the steering , but mine handle still shaking while i go freehand at ard 60km/h ....... than mine bike will go right when i freehand below 60km/h :cry: e mech said mine wheel tire all okay leh.

I'm riding a version S.

 

After my oil and plug change last week, my bike will switch off by itself if i clutch in, without throttling on. This usually happens at traffic lights when coming to a stop at gear 1,clutch in,no throttle.

 

Then, this morning, after coming to a stop, it died and it wouldn't start. Totally no power. Headlights, neutral light, oil light all off when the key is switched to 'on' position.

 

Can anyone help? Is it to do with improper plug installation? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

hey bro's, i got a problem with my spec 2 gears..after changing my engine oil to silkolene fully syn, the gears are still hard to kick up, especially on 1st and 2nd....sometimes they stick, sometimes they don't! dunno why but i hope its not my clutch plates or cable. any comments?

appreciate the help, really bothering my riding habits

u can try checkin e positive terminal of ur battery...could have a layer of algae lookin stuff covering it...scrape it off n u try on ur bike again ....could be poor contact..subsequently u can change e rectifier n e batt n diy...the batt model is ytx9-bs....well i hope this helps

hi i'd been riding my s4 spec 1 for ard half a year....would like to enquire which bike shop to go for maintence as in overall cos my bike bike has been giving me tis pro like big vibration when cornering and when at highest gear and hit rpm 7 there's a slight jerk before it goes smooth again and the worst is my bike likes to keep right by itself ... until im so piss off with it at times when im at traffic jam then need to squeeze car that time??i know alot of ppl has ask this before so would someone kindly enlighten me again...thanks so much..

Well i just open up my fuel level gauge... stupid shop! place my fuel level gauge the wrong direction! Now ok liao!

While riding around on 24 Nov (Sat), experienced a sudden loss of transmission of power along balestier road. After filtering to the road side, attempt to restart the bike but to no avail as there wasn't any cranking at all.

 

Bike was push over to Wing Yap Motor Pte Ltd, one of our advertiser, to rectify the problem. After checking today, the carbon starter was replaced and bike roar back to life. Various component was also check by WY mechanic Mr Eric and everything is working fine. Here's a pic taken of how the carbon starter looks like.

Hi all brothers,

 

Got a big headache, wake up when i wan to go to sch, my s4 cannot start..It does n't look like battery problem as I had change one less than a year ago. Tried to push start for very long but still not successful.

 

Could it be due to spark plug? What can i do now? Cos it cannot start and i cannot ride to bikeshop to repair, really headache..have to take bus now.

 

Pls advise me follow bros of cb400!
