Urgent! - Accident Repairs

I've just involve in an accident on 18/10/08 and this is what happen to my bike...

so, i've just returned from a workshop in defu lane n the mechanic there list to me all the stuff i need to change...

 

Items:

 

1) Front Fork

 

2) Fork oil seal n dust cover

 

3) Fork Bracket

 

4) Meter

 

5) Signal Switch

 

6) Head Lamp

 

7) Clutch Holder

 

8) Clutch Lever

 

9) Bearing Cone

 

10) Front Brake Disc

 

11) Front Rim n Shaft

 

12) Bubble

 

13) Mirror

 

14) Head Fairing

 

15) Tail Fairing

 

16) Right Fairing

 

17) Fairing Brackets

 

18) Front Mudguard

 

19) Rider Footrest

 

 

i need help from u guys if u have or know anywhere i can get the stuff, plz post it here n dont forget to include the price..the workshop quote me $1.5k to repair everything but the problem is, im cant afford it..plz plz plz recommened or advise me where i can get all this @ a cheap price..or any other shop can repair all these @ a cheaper price??

 

btw, do u guys think its worth to repair all these or just buy another bike?? your help is greatly appreciated..Thank You for ur time reading this thread..

Dude...how abt going to ah boy to get the faring parts...it might be slightly cheaper...

things like tuning back the fork, fork seal n dust cover, n bearing cone let the shop do ...

 

things like meter, fairings, n blah blah blah , all buy from boy at a time to time basis.. =)

 

u can ask our sp riders for help in helping u DIY.. =)

wah u ok ? anyway your bike coe left how many years? if still alot maybe can scrap and get back a bit..imo...no point spending 1.5k on repairs for sp..i will sugguest to you to scrap it and get back sum money..den maybe use that money as down payment for another bike bah...unless ya bike still under installment...den sian liao....

ouh..thanx for ur advice..btw, i only suffer a minor fracture @ the back of my left palm near to knuckle of my ring finger..now ok abit can move all finger but still cannot fully clench my fist..my pillion suffer a cut on her left leg..she have recover from it but her left feet abit swollen..

 

as for my bike, i was making a right turn when the light turn red..at first i thought the opposite lane is clear so i inch forward n proceed to make the turn when suddently from out of nowhere, a lady driver in white suzuki swift trying to avoid beating the red light zoom towards us..its rhs front bumper hit my bike then we fell..at the point of accident, i fainted n i only regain concious when im lying on the road..

 

so, to all riders out there, plz be extra careful..u'll never know when things might get wrong..i'm consider lucky to get only minor fracture compare to my badly damaged bike..

bro did ur pillion manage to see the number plate for e white suzuki car , should be able to get a claim from that. Have u made a police report also?

yup..everything done..now wait for IO results..for my side, IO says im partly wrong coz never wait for like 2 sec till the green arrow light up..for the car side, im not sure whether she will be charge for beating red light..nw praying hard to win the case so can claim everything n sue the driver..

bro, if repair 1.5k might as well get new bike right. i believe the repair cost not that much. tell them dont do repair first. say u go other place buy or buy from friend then pay them abit money fix.

last time my friend accident, banged by taxi from behind, the workshop settles everything on their own and will claim from the other party.. u dont need to spend on repairs.

Or you try find parts from scrap yard. Which i think they should have everything you wanted. If lucky, the condition is good.

suggestions to TS: maybe u can consider to get second hand parts from fellow forumers. it shud be very much cheaper. and important things like fork, brake disc etc, get new from the frenly LAB.

is tat you're safe and sound, the cost & damages can be repair, but if anything happen to you, maybe cannot be "repair" anymore.

I can recommand u my repair shop.. Will be much cheaper.. I buy two side faring, racing footrest, respray whole bike.. $950 Nia... I noe the bike shop uncle.. INterested.. give me a ring .. 93378191.. cedric her..

bro 950? hmmm.... ur paintwork should cost less than 750 + footrest 150(yoshi)+ 2 side fairing.... (shouldnt be more than a 100.) but to think again.... if workmanship quality is gr8 i dun mind going to that shop... =) upppsssss

every driver or rider shld slow down when approaching a junction... n for ur case.. it seems like she's doing at least 70kmh when trying to beat the red light. u got any witness? rest well dude.. =)

i think its better for me to wait till i know who is at fault..if the driver found guilty, then i just repair @ bikeshop till all sui sui..but if im the one who is @ fault, then i have to surveyed around for all the stuff till i can get the cheapest price possible..thanx again everyone for your support..

 

but im worried i lose because the IO say like that..haiz..nvm, worse come to worse, ill have to find the stuff @ ah boy n scrapyard..now, help me pray that i win the case.......... :pray:

u should also know that ur insurance premium will increase no matter you win or lose ....
