Bro, Need to confirm your participation with Organisers. Appreciate if you could confirm your attendance to be allocated the slot. the Slots are filling up fast. Make Wednesday D-day, if not confirm, pay for the slot first as i think it will be easier to let go of the slot than to ask for more slots.

i was at GP yesterday, quite early, waited for a while and don't see any early bird bros coming, so I washed my bike, breakfast and shoot to Ophir for a recce. I went with a car from a contact in Tangkak to the Dam Area, We are able to Camp near the rangers hut for a nominal fee. It is a beautiful place. the route in is fantastic!!

 

Bro u talking about the Asahan side reservoir with beautiful view overlooking the mountain isit. If so that is indeed a nice place to camp at. The army occasionally have their excercise around that area as base too, stay beside them, cfm very safe. hehe Will plan a trip there to camp with you IF i got the time (weekdays only ). Anyway now rainy season also not that nice for camping.

although this peg has got very good gripping but in case of an 'oops' incident, it's gonna hurt a lot on your shin if really suay.i don't know about you guys, but i had a lot of bad experience with the ones on bicycles as a kid. scars are still around.

with my height when i paddle the strom, the pegs still hit my shin. i don't know how the side of the metal pegs will do.

More good news huh...

 

So a Strom650 is good touring at slower speeds (120kph); comfort riding; and doing tight twisties (like those in Fraser's Hill?)... while it has storage-capabilities.

 

Still exploring what other good points of a Strom650.

 

I'm currently using a Hayabusa for touring... have been to several places such as Cameron and Fraser's Hill. It is a great speed-tourer. Handles well on Cameron bends, but not so favorable at Fraser Hill's submit-twisties. Storage is virtually not there and riding posture would require high speeds to be comfy.

 

I ride a Wee in San Francisco (in the city) and do the weekend rides up the coast as well as freeway riding during the week. I've got the tall Givi windscreen (which helps make the ride a lot more comfortable), a Maxia trunk and crash bars. Here's some other good points about the wee.

 

 

The wee is a great all around, well balanced bike. Besides the riding position and its handling prowess, you can slap bags on the sides and disappear for a few weeks which fits its role as a sport tourer. It's not an "attention getting bike" which means less static from LEOs and certain other types of riders. I easily cruise at 85-90 MPH (144KPH or so) and even though the wee gets buzzy, it pulls just fine.

Why not consider a new bike? There is almost none in the 2nd hand market as most owners love the bike too much too let go of it It is that good

There is an 06 model. but price a bit high and I think is it sold as the chap never reply to enquiries.

 

Might get a Varadero instead if I can't find.
