Hi guys, just got me ol' mightymouse's bike from Loois. After several other bikes, this is a whole new experience for me, with the V-engine between my legs, the feel is totally different. Hope to learn a thing or two about this newly acquired machine..

Yeah very nice bike cause someone just equipped himself with panniers...Fully loaded? wondering where he is going to? hmmmm

Actually I wanted to get the mainstand. But I know of a fellow Vara1k rider with HnB mainstand also. It broke while he was putting the bike on mainstand and then the whole bike just fell to the right.

 

Is there an alternative mainstand that I can get from KS like I got for my busa last time?

 

 

I being using the H & B main stand for coming 2 yrs liao... so far so good..

I'm considering a DL650 (Wee strom), however, would like to enquire on the price of some common spare parts, for (DIY)

 

would like to know how much is the cost of EACH

 

1) OEM recommended Spark Plug

2) OEM Oil Filter

3) OEM Air Filter

4) clutch cable

 

If send to workshop, how much would be the price of each as well?

 

Also, where to buy the spare parts, if I intend to DIY?

Went out on my virgin test ride yesterday nite with a few buddies to Kulai for supper. These are my findings.

 

1) Bike pick up from 0 - 150km/h with ease

2) Pull became a little slower but still okie from 150 to 180..

3) Upped to 6th gear after that and bike reaches 200 and stayed there. From the feeling of the throttle, it seems that the bike cannot go faster than that. Anyone who have touched max speed care to share what is the top speed of this beast?

4) Averaging at 180km/h to and fro Kulai for a distance of 80km, the bike consumed 6.65 litres of petrol bringing the FC to 12km/litre.

5) High speed bends at 160km/h feels stable and secure due to the still stiff shocks.

 

Take into consideration that the bike is fully stock, no box, no exhaust, no tall wshield, what do you think of the above performance? If there are anything that I should take notice pls do let me know so that I can go and rectify.

top speed of bike is stated to be ard 210kmph(130mph).

so i guess ur performance of the bike should be all right.

this bike is not for speed hence the stated low top speed
