Hey guys, I just came back from a group ride to Fraser’s Hill. Those curves there are AMAZING, damn fun to play. Even old man me “safety rider” also kana side stand of the Strom. Too bad got pillion, if not I think even more fun.

Anyway, I was thinking, those curves are built for sports bikes types, not so friendly for the Strom unless U are damn ah-siao rider. I wonder if anybody knows some dirt/rough rides in Malaysia where the Strom’s “off-road” capabilities can be tested? Anyone interested in organizing a Strom Dirt Trail ride up north?

"The Animal Institute" (Intitute Haiwan) and Gunung Belumut mark on the map. Rompin is just off Kahang. Nice place for big trailies.

here are some pics from the "Animal Institute". Can enter for free... The security kind enough to let us ride inside...

Photos courtesy of Varadero 125 guys. If an underpowered 150kg machine with 15hp can do this, i don't see why a 200kg beast with 98hp can't.

Yeah......Strommy parts are harder to find than normal. PLUS, Suzuki bikes for some strange reason have lower resale value. BUT, ask any STROM rider, its a real fun bike to ride n no worries bout maintanance..............just ride the damn thing............haha

HAHA! worry more bout the higher cost on the parts...

currently considering 2 really exciting bikes, the strom650 n the tdm900..

the yammies haf cheaper n easier to find parts for sure but the strom is lower in cc so insurance cheaper for me(im only 23)..

the strom has a meaner outlook and bigger in frame but the yammie has slightly more oomph!

so im kinda in a fix on which to get wif all the pros n cons..

if u intend getting the tdm...might as well u get strom1k...insurance around the same.

Anyway insurance for 650 n 1k is only 200-300 difference....besides the fuel consumption....the oomph! u get from the vstrom1k cannot be compared to tdm...

tdm of course parts cheaper and they have a very reliable agent...

i was thinking of getting the 650 at first...lighter yes but only like 20-30kg difference? after u ride for a few months...u would have wish that u have gotten the 1000...

anyway to each his own...i'm just giving my opinion cos i nearly got a 650...

and by the way i'm also 23...
