Heck the look man, i already have an ugly HnB 45l box alrdy, adding in 2 more ugly box wun affect much hahaha. The only reservation i have now is because they are givi boxes lol! too bad Hnb dun have decent small side boxes.

Anyway boxes cost only 190++ but the rack is gonna cost from Mah. The last i heard from Mah, the sideracks for V35 is around 200+ or issit 300plus. Crazily over-priced

Think is around 200+.. its quite overpriced.. but what to do. They are the one bringing in the stock.

Roger{;4927314']bro seahmh....

why dun you go "full touring order" liao by installing the painner too???

since you alway got so much to carry around (including the missy)....

i got 40 litres painner and a 45 litres top box all from H&B....

i alway have to carry my rollerblade, skating helmets, spare helmet, raincoat, 2 set of spare rollerbade wheels (each are 100mm wheel), bike cover, shower bag and things i USED  to carry to work...... (it was last time when i was working) .....

I would go for at least 4o litres painner so at least next time touring oso just nice.

just my 2 cents

Hi, bro Roger,

I also wish to install the Honda side panniers... But the side panniers are so ex... SGD 1K + for one pair of them. H&B is my dream box, but then they are so ex too... :)

Unlike my previous ride when the side panniers are "included" together with the bike... :)

Like you, I go roller blade too. But sometimes when I wish to go roller blading with my missy but then one rop-box is NOT enough to put in two pair of blades... So most of the times, we gave up the idea... heehee...

The two pairs of blades are becoming white elephants at home now... heehee...

hmm... Maybe we can arrange a VFR Roller-blading session??? :)

Hi, angeldogleslie,

hmm... In that case, think it may be more worth to top up another SGD 350+ to purchase the pair of side panniers as mentioned above by Mr James996. :)

Then we can carry more barang barang around... hahaha...

Yah, I feel that it is cheap too (but I don't have the budget to buy now yet.. heehee...). Cos I heard that it costs around SGD 1.2K to purchase a pair of the original Honda VFR side panniers here in Singapore, right??

Hi James,

$850 is a very good price indeed! I remembered paying about $1k when i ordered from the same website almost a year ago (includes inner bags). U'll have to pay for GST (abt $70+) & spray at Ong & Son (about $150...i think). The total price of what u'll pay now will be dependant on the exchange rate. Abt a week after i ordered, I did the same deal for bowler & his price was abt $930..but of course,u got to spend time on bringing the boxes to spray, fixing the brackets etc. Is it worth the $1k of saving? YES of course :)

Thanks for the info.

Why did you bring it for respray?no matching colour with yr bike?

I think the prices now is quite good as they might be clearing stocks.

I had check with Loois to ask BS but the price for their panniers stay at abt 1k plus to 2k.

James,

If you're seriously getting it, then I'll join you. We'll save on shipping costs. For $850, it is friggin cheap!

However, the website states GBP450 leh.... What gives? Clearing stock?

I dont kw why there is a diff in prices for

http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/parts/part_38004/ GBP 225

and

http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/parts/part_38386/ GBP 450

According to my colour code,my bike is NH-411M. They have 5 sets in stock so might be clearing stock.

Check under yr seat for yr bike colour code,or u can get the GBP 225 ones and respray in Spore.

We will need to wait till 2nd Jan 09 for them to reply any enquires as they are on Holidays.

James,

my bike is under the 06-08 category. I believe that this is due to the changes in the VTEC transition, hence the segregation. Plus, my bike colour is Cosmic Black.

Anyway, I don't mind getting the 02-05 panniers as long as it fits. Respraying is not an issue for me.

maybe you check with the Ang Moh forums whether the 02-05 panniers can fix the newer version or not first.

  • 3 months later...

Any topcase-installed owners can share some info here?

Type of topcase installed, and the breakdown of cost for the topcase and the rack?

I'm currently running on Hepco Becker 40lt Junior Flash Panniers and looking at the possibilities of getting a topcase... Would love to get another Hepco Becker topcase for a more uniform look, but am still open to other brands of cases..

I'm kinda toying with the idea of changing my whole setup to Givi. Any viffers here running on the below setup?

Oh ya, I'm riding a 6th Gen 06model...

My Coocase with the base plate from Bike 219 bike-shop costs SGD 150 last year, when they mentioned that there was a promotion they accept trade-in of ANY brand of boxes and the Coocase 48L box will cost only SGD150.

I paid around SGD 190 for the pair of VFR racks (two "metal rods") when I got my bike from the bike-shop.

My ride has no side panniers at the moment.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for ur input bro.

Regarding your VFR Racks (two "metal rods"), are they customed made? Or is it from coocase for ur bike?

Boxes are easy to get, problem is the rack...

When I got my bike form the bike-shop, they told me can get from this shop (cannot remember the name of the shop), so I rode there on my previous Fabulous-Joy-Ride to collect the two "metal rods".

How do I describe the way to the shop? I am not very sure how to describe, but here goes.

(1) Stand in front of Reggina Shop with your back facing the main door.

(2) You will be like 45-degrees facing the main road. You should see the "Cheong Aik" shop slightly on your left across the road and the Bras Barsah Market slightly on your right.

(3) Look straight ahead, you will see a small side road across the road, this is the small side road which traffic is turning right, out into the main road in front of Reggina.

(4) Think it one "small side road" BEFORE this "small side road", which you can turn right into it if you are travelling on the main road in front of Reggina. It is about "half-way into the "small side road".

Sorry, I know I sounded stupid on my description, but it is almost a year ago, so can't really remember well. I can go back to my bike shop to ask the boss there, on the shop name and address which I got my VFR racks, for you.

Sorry if I haven't been helpful on my description.

Thanks for the effort in your great description!!

Well, I guess u're refering to the row of shop houses along Desker Road?

Let me know if you're able to get shop's name or unit no. and I'll go and check it out.

So this 2 "metal rods" are actually customized to fit our bike?
