Combine the thrill of sportsbike riding and the toughness of an off road scrambler and what have you got??

Unlike a sportsbike with all the expensive fairings... you do an off track excursion into the gravel pits chances are you could 'trail ride' your way out again or at worst just drop the bike. No fairings to break, mebbe just a bent handlebar.

Have crashed twice on this DRZ, once on the track and once on the road in the rain... cost of repair...$12. Just loosen the handlebar clamps to reset the handlebars and replaced one mirror. If that had happened to the CBR...... add a few zeroes behind that figure.

A great bike to learn how to ride a race track.

At this point, the front is actually beginning to slide away coz I could feel it.

But I really have alot faith in the Dunlop GPR70s.

True value for money.

And yep, Lisan aka Saint21 has improved tremendously as a cameraman. The clarity of his shots.... worthy to be in the local bike magazine.

Then again....would they recognise his skills as a cameraman ???

supermotos.. definitely the best... within one week, you can start wheelieing, endoing... and doing rolling burnouts all over the place... hehehe :thumb:

its time for a change!

New attraction coming soon!

Supermotard on a track will allow you to still come back in a corner you messed up.

Which allows you to try all the late braking stunts or crazy racing lines you would never try with a fairing sports bike. Am using the DRZ to improve my riding on the CBR by testing out different lines through the corners.

Was pushed out of the racing line when I tried to overtake at the end front straight at PG in Turn One. Due to the agility of the bike, was able to pull the bike back onto the track instead of going for an unscheduled meeting with the tyre wall.

Turn One at Pasir Gudang.

Entry speed 135 KMH on 4th gear. Superb stability in high speed corners is so confidence inspiring, simultaneous knee and toe sliding can be done.

Scary no doubt but most certainly a schoolgirl screaming kind of thrill. :lovestruck:

Just to share....

Fuel consumption for the bike for road riding is about 230 KM before you hit reserve. ie about 8 litres.

On NSH travelling at speeds between 110 -120 KMH, can travel about 150 KM.

On the track, 105 KM. :faint:

:btw: just curious.. is the DRZ a good bike to go touring..

I rode the bike to Sepang to play on the track and back. The trouble is when you ride on the highways at speeds around 110 - 120 KMH, the fuel consumption is not very happening. Was getting like 150 km for about 7 litres.

20 something km per litre may sound good to you but not when you have a small tank.

The other thing is the vibrations. My butt went numb a few times whilst on the NSH.

I guess you could tour with the DRZ if you wanted to... just need a bigger tank and an iron butt. :cheeky:

that is very common when riding scrambler for long distance. groin area will get numb too, if u riding 2 stroke scram or scram with lots of vibrations.

having a bigger tank will make the bike evey more bulky, but there are some well design after market fuel tank that is slim and have more tank range.
