im riding a honda nsr and thinking of getting a gps or the new nokia nevigator phone any comments you can give on that ...? would having a gps on a small bike like mine be ridiculous...?

Mounting a GPS does not depend on size of bike. But a GPS can be distracting (hence dangerous). General rule is the bigger ones are easier to see, but less portable and has powering requirements. Think carefully whether you WANT a GPS or NEED one.

Good luck ... :p

Cheers

unless you travel to m'sia. i think singapore can use street directory pocket size which cost S$10 plus as a basic GPS can cost S$ 340 and above..

for ur info...the 6110 i think will be more for cars..as it's not waterproof

getting a gps is would ne a advanadge

go get one....next time when u change to a bigger bike..

it's time to go for some real touring ya..:thumb:

My vote is Garmin Vista HCx (for size) or zumo (for features but not price). Whether it can be transferred between bikes depends on how it was mounted and types of handlebars etc.

i'm guessing that the GPS unit doesn't come with a mounting unit. So u guys diy it ?

interested to know how u set it up

some diy the mounting, some get one from the gps manufacture itself, some go for ram mount. depends on wat u really need and how deep ur pocket is.

mutant_sheep,

can advise on the PDA case u bought?

I wanted 2 case for my eten m600 and goldfish,

is there anything to watch out for when measuring the alignment/size?

U mention measure wrongly previously, is there any humps

or groove inside case that I need to accomodate for?

(cant see how the casing look like inside from the link)

Currently my pda are powered via a usb connector to

my bike 12v cigarette adaptor. The usb cable "head"

so big, how to squeze it pass the casing wire duct?

(cut wire connect again)

Honda ..................and nothing else
