Although the physical appearance may be different, the 60CSx, and 76CSx are similar. The only distinct difference between these two is that the 76CSx floats, so it is targeted at the boaters.

 

About a year back, I bought, for a friend, it for $670, without SD card.

Nah, sometimes, over the phone they anyhow quote.

 

You can get it at Blazer (basement of Sim Lim Tower) for $565+GST (no SD card).

perfect watch is not the only dealer that sell garmin gps for bike (local set)..

 

and their price is abit on the high side.... in compare with 1 or 2 other shop nearby the same place....

 

only thing is, it is at level 1 of simlim square.... that y u can find it easily....

Handheld sets do not come with pre-loaded maps, and it's not an issue as we can download these maps from from mapsingmaps. For Singapore, and Malaysia, mapsingmaps are more updated and have more details than mapsource maps which you have to pay a fortune.

My 2 cents' worth.

 

I was considering the Garmin 60 series. I had the good fortune of a mate who was kind enuff to lend me his for a while. I found that the overall length with the built in antennae was too bulky for me; hence I went the eTrax route. Compared with the old etrax Vista Cx, the 60 was way better with the more sensitive chipset. But with the Vista HCx, no difference now.

 

Only advantage I see of the 60 is that the screen is slightly bigger, which to me is alright cos' I don't use it for real time navigation, but for route and logistical planning, and as a back-up nav tool that I can pop into my touring jacket.

 

Will gladly "show and tell" my HCx so that they can make an informed decision. Take your time getting a GPS, the research is worth it.

Yes, but I believe not the handhelds. Look at the Nuvi (not waterproof) or the Zumo (great but higher priced).

This set look real nice and neat. The screen is also much bigger then the 60 series. The antenna is shorten too. Less buttons to press.

This looks really neat. I would think it's touch screen. That would be a cheaper alternative to the Zumo. Nice.
