either way, your Lancer is worth only about $33k now if you can find a buyer, that is.

Wow 1/3 of the value lopped off in 10 months? Sorry throttle how did you calculate that? I'm not sure how the drop in COE prices affect resale values...

Yes thats about right.

low COE prices results in lower new car prices results in lower secondhand car price.

this leads to demand of secondhand cars falling.

which leads to prices crumbling even if car is relatively new.

dont believe?

go buy a new car now, drive for 2 days and try to sell it.

at least 10% gone, if you are lucky.

there's a little bit of formula.

Just find the paper value and add the price of the body (give and take a little)

thats the price you'll get if you're looking for quick sale. otherwise add a few k more but no guarantee you can sell it, unless the car is popular and condition is fab.

cheers

Ya if u r holding on a higher COE tat mean ur paper value will b higher so dun need 2 scare if u sell in future but u oso muz prepare if in future cuz u muz depend on market....... Doesn't mean u gt high paper mean u can sell high, if u loan less u mean u gt a higher chance 2 gt back some $ when u trade in o sell if nt u oni need 2 top up a bit oni, cuz im working in car sale line.......
