Saw quite a handful of XJR yesterday night while at JB for petrol & supper from 1am-230am...saw one FW3**4 @ KL Menjerit Makan Place, a AU***P, a 1300 @ Mobil & another along the Warong near Mobil Petrol Station...

Ayed & Gf saw this silver/goldish FW at the Xpressway 2 days back.....

I saw one myself off Jalan Kayu exit towards CTE last Thursday afternoon...

Sound like the one of the ex XJR rider here owns that bike. But I can't recall the license plate no. Sorry man, it has been so long...

U check and see if the crash bar issit a solid piece crash bar?

 

The one fab by Motoworld is a hollow piece.

If its the solid piece crash bar, it might be a all silver XJR before.

Own by one of the guys I know. Solid piece crash bar is original yamaha's.

I am sure my friend repaired his bike and sold it off, might be the 2nd owner's work. Or it might be just another bike hahaha.

 

My bike was the transition between the pure silver to the silver blue stripe model. Can say one of the first few blue stripe in Singapore. So FX plate before mine are usually pure silver. I was glad that I got the new paint work at that time. Anyway I got mine from Yuh Loong.

 

Dun take the crap from Steven, I rather talk to his mechanics. One guy with gray hair, he is not a bad mechanic. That time Steven tried to carrot me and sell me old box rack and claimed that its new, the gray hair mechanic help me replace it with new GIVI box rack. They are really experience with the XJRs, but just becareful of Steven's crap. Just listen if he wanna talk crap, dun take it too hard or too seriously. He got that signboard cos he sold alot of Yamaha bikes (including XJRs), thats all man... hahahaha let him boast all he wants.

 

One plus point about Yuh Loong, they open on Sundays! In case got anything need emergency repairs, can look for them.

Hmph...I been there at Yuh Loong abt 6-8 months ago & YES Steven can & will 'talk about of crap'. I kenna 'slow talk' by him & also his story on his 'signboard'. But the mechs was friendly. I didnt make any repairs but was just looking around. While was there, i saw 2-3 yellow XJRs making instalment payments. Was in awe then when i saw 'so many' XJRs at the same place..That old fool also mentioned that 'yellow XJR comes from his shop!'. Boastful arite, but harmless i think...i just sniggered at his comments & pretty much let him ran his motormouth off....

 

That bike is carrying at solid kinda crash bars, but i looked a little bend upwards. Its a maroon/red now. Mine was also a plain silver until i met with an accident in 05 & waaaaaala, its blue eversince...hee hee hee....

Sorry to interrupt....If Vara125 can reach Cherating, no problem I bet for XJR to reach Thai of course. I just came back from Krabi for the Songkran Festival and saw a few 400cc bike went up. Cannot recall if it was Super 4 or XJR. But 1 thing for sure, you guys can do it.

 

It will eb interesting as well if a bunch of XJR do a ride up north. Have a safe ride guys!! Hope to see you guys on the road!!!

its a super4 lah...if what i heard & see(in multiply & all that) is true & correct. I have 3 of my forum frenz who went Songkram Thailand 8-14 March so maybe u have met them...They are Yahoo on a red/marron 4pipes VFR...A Silver FJR, Azmi & a TDM 900 Met & Kiss....hahahahhahahahah

Nice to hear you are interested to join. We spent only S$500 for the whole trip (include shopping even...). Usually, we do 5 days and 4 nights. We prefer it this way as we find it more adventourous than have it well planned. We normally did no bookings for accomodation or whatsoever. It is just ride to the destination and then search for a place.

 

You are right that travelling with the SBF guys are much more safer as they had everything prepared. But our objectives are more than just rides. We like to have adventure as well. In case of any emergency or whatsoever (happened a couple of times...very bad situation) we will think together of what to do.

 

So, we done Phuket and Krabi, Koh Sa Mui is our next planned destination. You guys are most welcome to join our ride if interested. But just a little warning, we do not have bikebulance tag along with us....hehehe!!
