are you riding the Atlantic too? well you need to change you engine at every 6000km interval( thats the recommended)

Hi guy, this morning went to "CHIAP LEE CO" to order an GIVI windscreen for my scooter.:smile:

 

Able to collect it by end of June as they have shippment coming here and the next shippment is 3 months later.

 

Model: D242ST

Cost: $220

History: Phantom, Atlantic 200, Phantom, Vara125 FI, TranAIP 400, Super4 (version s), Fazer6 S2, Advia 200, Silverwing 400 JDM 04, Silverwing 400 Euro 08, MaxSYM 400i, VFR1200FD DCT, NC700X, BMW C650GT, Fazer6 S1, BMW R1200GS LC, Majesty S XC155, BMW R1200RT(LC)

I am trying to look for the LIPS to add on instead of changing the whole wind screen..

From what they told me that they have to bring in 2 as that is the minimum order. True or not.....not sure :confused:

Hi atlantic200, is that windscreen specifically made for the atlantic? what's the difference between the givi one and the original stock windscreen? any of you atlantic riders knows where i can get slightly tinted windscreens and accessories for my atlantic? Thanks :help:

Yes, this windscreen is specially made for Atlantic 200.

 

As for the different, the specification state : h840 x w700. The GIVI windscreen is higher and able to shield your face from the wind.

 

Currently, I don't think you get tinted windscreen but you can try buying those tinted material for car windscreen.

 

 

Accessories - not sure.

Yup, not mentioning the tank range, other than that its a good bike. Was told to have oil change every 1000km till reached 3000km(So call running in period) and subsequently 5000km. The engine oil light blinking part is getting on my nerve. The reason I bought first hand is to have hassel free maintenence problem.

 

I use to have a 2nd hand Foresight. So much problem till I traded in for the Alantic.

 

Since none of you have had this problem, think I have to go back to Mah and ask why.

I think you better do that to cos yours is still under the warranty,make good use of it.

Hi Ziggy and Atlantic200, i'm thinking of installing hazard lights for my atlantic but i'm a complete noob. Can any of you guys help me out or show me how to? I'll be more than willing to buy you a meal on top of workmanship. :help:

The thread seems to be getting rather slag,Most of the Atlantic riders do not log in...

Anyway I when with Atlantic to get his Horn,he have bought the Hella snail type horns,he fixed it up without the relay and its still doing well.....so I guess maybe you do not really need to use the relay...:cheeky:

I have already made myself very clear, I WONT BUY THE X9,EVEN IF IT'S THE ONLY SCOOTER ON THE MARKET.

There is no reason for me to sell /give up my Aprilia,just because there are more X9,No way..... I am still enjoying my Atlantic...
