Dear all,

I am ReaPeR from the Aprilia Riders Club.

Although most of our members are currently riding the Aprilia RS's, we would like to cordially extend our friendship and services to you scooter riders as well. It would not be right to leave out any of you as you are riding Aprilia's as well.

We were hoping to have you join our forum and have your own scooter thread and perhaps, even technical archive.

Please do visit the Aprilia Riders Club forum at http://www.aprilians.com, or for those who may have difficulty viewing the page like myself, you may try http://www.aprilia.themuser.com

We hope to have you with us soon.

hi hsphalt,

i suspect the grease that cause all this. usually when doing a belt servicing, the whole transmission will need to be totally clean up (de-grease) and grease again. maybe some grease somehow *spilt* onto the clutch, should i use the word spilt???

so u mean i should ride for awhile like some ppl said n c how or much the thing must take out n clean then can work???

Aprilians....... we are hoping for more Aprilia Owners to join our Aprilia Riders Club Singapore. I am Dannis, commonly known as the Events Organizer of the club. I do organize outings n trips in Singapore n Malaysia. Most of our club ppl owns at least 2 bikes n usually they wont be riding RS125/RS250 on casual outings like Lim Ko Pi sessions, dinner sessions, or chill out at Yishun Dam........ We are all very easy ppl to get along with n we are a multi-racial community.

When we go out, we always ride at speed limits of Singapore Roads, so if anyone here is interested to join us for our outings which we usually organize n notify each other via sms or msn...... u may log in to our website at my signature or can just sms me at 90214262. We are hoping to know more friends sharing the same Italian Passion.

Wait till I achieve my objective.... I will be back with a more powerful engine and a more sexy bike......

any one riding scarabeo 500? any comments?

Been riding one for a year and a half here, and I love it. It is an excellent big scooter with proper size wheels. Good stability and handling, very comfortable (I don't like feet forward designs). With the top case that comes with it, and the extra side panniers there is loads of packing space.

The power and size also means it can easily be used for longer distance cruising as well. It is not upset by a pillion, and more than enough power to stay ahead of the traffic.

I know some complain it does not have any under seat storage, but I really don't think you need it due to the size of the top case.

I assume that you're referring to the trip odometer.

Yes we can reset that. Turn the dial sticking out from the odometer and all the numbers will advance. Stop when they reach zero.

Hi bro, I'm referring to the total mileage odometer (not sure what that is called) i.e. the one that records the total distance the bike has covered since day 1.

Oh... we're not supposed to reset that. When your bike is sent for inspection each year from the third year, they record the mileage on the odometer in the system.

However, if you get to change your whole instrument panel because, say, the speedometer is spoilt, the new one should start from zero.

Oh yes, thanks. I won't do it of course. But it's just that some are doing it such that when I'm getting a used bike nowadays, total mileage is less important, since it can be tweaked. A more important consideration would be the actual engine condition, I guess. =)

Has anyone send his/her Atlantic back to the agent for re-tunning of the engine? Any comment on the result?
