Agreed cos considering they are playing away, the opposition fans can create a pretty intimidating atmosophere for the young dude and he might just be overawed by the occassion.

I think you mean Rafael cos Fabio is leftback.

rafael is out injured, but i dont think fabio will play as rightback, maybe flecther will step in..everytime united travel to san siro, there will be defensive problem :sian:..a draw is good enough

Yup, rafael is injured so I was just wondering if SAF would chance fabio at right back. Does seem unlikely though. A scoring draw is enough...

final score man united 0-0 inter milan.

cr7 took a brilliant freekick in injury time but it went straight to the keeper's hands, though it did spin out of the keeper's hands after that.. and then, Final Whistle! Beep beep...

overall thought that man united's performance was dominant all round... could have been better with at least 1 away goal.. i think SAF was trying to play safe and be more defensive in this one, thus the reason for the late intro of rooney... the wily old scot muz be right, after so many years of experience in the champs league...

well then the battle goes back to old trafford! man united are usually more daring at home... hopefully mourinho does not have any surprises in store...

The defensive formation worked brilliantly in the first half, but when Inter regained their composure in the second I thought Rooney should have been sent on much earlier. He might not have gotten his yellow card if there was more time for him to make an impact on the game; he isn't the most patient of pople as we all know. Things do look good for us for the second leg at OT though.

O'shea and Evans are playing, but rooney's dropped?!

not dropped but a tactical move by fergie and it worked quite well actually..

we'd scored 3 goals in the 1st half..damn..

ya,fergie should brought in rooney much earlier since park was tired already..evans was superb last nite..i hope we dont get punish at OT for wasting too many chances..let fergie celebrate in front of mourinho lke how he did when he was with porto :p

Inter Milan was lucky.!! thats all i can say from the game...shud have been 3 or 4 nil to man u..Fergie cud have bury that Whore Se Mourinho by half time..

i agree with that .. but after half time inter played better den 1st half .. man utd was pressurized by them at the start of 2nd half..

serves s'pore right for playing lousy football. Fergie made s'pore football star like a school boy n played Barthez as a winger what a shame. but indra proves what a goal poacher he is. he is one of the best after all.
