Need gurus advice.

I plan to respray some parts of my gilera plastic but current paintwork is glossy type, so if I spray black on top of it, will it stick or I have to sand down my current paintwork? Or got any spray can make it stick?

Then if let say it sticks, how do I obtain the glossy feel again? Must I spray lacquer on top of new paintwork?

Please help thankiew :cheeky:

Am not a guru, but based on experience its best to sand down the material you want to spray. Reason so, it will stick directly on the raw surface thus there will be no chipping and etc.

You can buy those spray cans to paint you bike parts. Buy those with glossy finish. If you want extra shiny then can overlay it with lacquer. Time interval is also crucial else it may ruin the paint. Good luck DIY-ing.

Its always the best to DIY certain paintjobs..Its best to use a medium grade sandpaper and add some water to the targeted area..once done, spray it during the hot weather and within a clean environment..i highly recommend sending ur bike over to a bike shop for lacquring service for a superior finishing..shldnt cost u more den 50 bux

Guys! im looking to repray my bike

Is Replica Spray painting Still around?!

Or can any kind bro recommend me some shop that does spray painting?

Thanks!

Olla Everyone,

Spray painting need quality and will look good and long lasting.

Personal preference will be Replica spray painting at KBC (kallang).

Look for Ah Kun the owner. Nice chap and will give ideas as well.

Price varies depend on bikes model.

If you know where ah boy workshop is that's where you can find the shop along that lane.

Cheers Everyone!

Just re-sprayed my bike with HL Cycle at Autobay @ Kaki Bukit... Must say that the workmanship is very good for the price they charge! ($280) Its the color which i was hoping for and they also sprayed my fuel-tank cover and restored it from its poor looking condition!
