i'm out of 250-400cc 5-lap challenge for good reasons unless there is pressure to run.

i will try to get No.67 to join to inject some fire in this 5 lapper ... maybe No.2 also ... so keep those tyres warm ...

pardon me, haven't checked this thread for a while...

Been keeping up with the local sports for 10 years, you name it sportsbike, MX, Enduro, SM, PocketBike, Pitbike, Cubprix! Too many hot hot chicken sh!t!

Now I am try to stir sh!t and hopefully our riders will come up to the challenge with pride and EGO to match! Riding skills aside! There is no substitute for talent and passion! Talent I am lacking but I make it up with a burning passion!

You still game or are you shame?

wow, RESPECT. you are indeed hot chicken sh!t! pride and ego huh? i always thought riding was about passion. you got me there again. anyway, i am game. count me in for one in May. forgive me, but NS doesn't give me much free time. so till then, count me shameful..

'scuse me everybody while I go off topic for a moment

Dinie,

Everybody starts from the bottom and they work their way up.

It was quite a wreck for me when I started...expensive suit, cornering all around the place like a mad car driver, 3 crashes to date. But I'm glad I took the pill in the beginning, wised up over the years and got myself some basic skills and here I am, enjoying the sport as much as everyone are, here.

P.S.: Be prepared to put safety down to second on the list when you embark on racing. First on the list would be thrill and also, being competitive.

well i always thought this would be a fun race, but it looks competitive. my bad. i agree with you on working your way up, but i'm sorry. different people have different priorities in life. thank your lucky stars that you survived those three crashes. i bet if it had been much worse, you'd beg to differ. sure, you had all the fun you could have, but that's it. it ends there. at that age you had that really bad crash. that few moments of fun might lead to years ahead of being a vegetable. is it worth it? not for me.

sure dude, like you, i've been enjoying the sport. the very slow track sessions that i had, i thoroughly enjoyed it. and i will want to continue enjoying it. but i'm not gonna put my name down just to withdraw it later because something else came up. but yes, like i said. count me in if there's gonna be one in mid-may. i look forward to joining you guys in my jacket and jeans.

not if it's against #67, #2, #77, #47 and a few more... who might make the grid but are not in the SBF community... and I've spread the word out to those 'few more' about the Clubman race and we might see some interest. it's been a very long time since we've been in a competitive race at PG and we all miss it.

Woah woah dude, now that was a whole lotta things you put forth there...

Dinie, hope you didn't misunderstand me and took my comments as negative connotation! Sorry if I did, cuz I saw that you wrote that you really wanted to join and sounded pretty aspirational and willing to hit the tracks but you sound as if something's stopping you. Therefore, I was merely answering your questions based on how you responded. Everybody works their way up, and I strongly believe the 5-lap race would be a good starting point for people who wanna do something, or in the long term, aspire to go somewhere.

Anyways, since you are intent on joining, hope you and the guys have a ball of a time. As they say, you only have one life to live, so grab any rare opportunities that are headed your way. :)

yes ... I call that EMO ...

yes ... I know you are young bcos young riders are mostly EMO and old riders mostly EGO ...

most old riders i know dont ride track days using jacket and jeans ... i was young before and my first PG ride was with BELL leather jacket with Iron Maiden sew on patch from Peninsula Plaza and my Mom sponsored Levi's 501 Button jeans from Peninsula Plaza also ... NOLAN-jiao FF helmet was sponsored by my late beloved Dad from Loois Motor ... Hitec hiking boots from Royal Sporting House was self sponsored by myself for slogging 5 hours at McDonalds as a crew after school hours ...

and yes ... I pass my licence with 5 practicals lessons not the new revamped 8 practical lessons ....

looking forward to ride with you ...

cheers!

Judging from the responses so far, some are looking towards running in the Clubman and some wanna run in one that is much more affordable without all the memberships, sanctioning etc.

So those of us who wanna run in the clubman can take action by signing up on our own.

As for the GP400, I shall work out with Mr Syed if we can use the open trackdays as a platform for us. The normal CCT will run for those who come for the trackday but there will also be a race for those who wanna run in the GP400. Participants for this race will have to have signed up much earlier. No need for licences, memberships etc.....

This is to give us the avenue to race with a fixed group of competitors. Trophies etc will be given too and a website will be setup to tabulate championship points etc....

The Black Cup Race Series..... what say you?

great ... we are going somewhere ...

let me settle my bike first and lets meet up over coffee ...

i want to see those interested in-person ... not just hiding behind the PC screen ...

if need be ... I will arrange the SMSA M/cycle in-charge to come down and brief us ... and clear our doubts on all those FIM rules and regulations ... especially on sanction and non-sanction race issue ... SMSA is the local governing body for "races" ... its best that they know what we are up to and not to have their noses up our arses during the "track day" ... with luck ... they will "bless" this initiative ...

yes ... I WAS an SMSA member before ... just a normal member ... so please exclude me from all those polictical issues ... thanks!

for new and upcoming riders ... this is your chance to learn a tip or two from senior riders ... and a welcome to the "competitive and egoistic and emotional" world of Sillypore (L)acing ...

Lets set the date on 3rd April 2009 at 2100 - 2200hrs at Fish & Chicks at Sembawang road ...
