I met an Aprillia rider over at 2nd link. Hes friendly and have a powerful,CDI modified to Original Race settings and I decided to take him on with my Kawasaki. Mine is using KOSO DigiSpeedo settings bypassing my stock CDI. We raced fiercely from GP Petronas till Bukit Indah exit. I will not reveal who wins as to promote a healthy spirit but its fun racing with him.

 

next time race on the track and not on normal roads:sian:

Friendly matches can be fun as long as both parties have a common understanding that they are testing the limits of their bikes and not pitting egos against each other.

 

Glad to know you're one of those who wont take a things too personally. Would be nice to have more riders like you on the road. :)

 

Gotta be careful though, my friend has been caught speeding on 2nd Link. There are speed traps around that area too, though not often. Hope you stick to speed limits here in SG. The penalty for speeding here is too high! :thumb:

Just a reminder for those participating in NBW Mass Convoy on 29th November.

I saw a 06' above 125 crashed badly at the junction beside ten mile junction yesterday. Was just follwing with my KR behind. Perhaps he felt threaten? I could see how unstable the bike was mid corner. It was just drifting out even though it wasnt even anywhere near a proper lean. I always thought the Ape is a slow heavy problematic bike, which should at least provide a least bit of stability. How wrong can I be. Oh well.

 

Anyway Valarie, I ride a KR too. I am quite sure your KR would have won. I have a friend whose heavily modded Kawa actually won a RS250 flat out as well.

Cornering is not about the bike, but the rider. IF you really have to brag, maybe we can all meet and race at Sepang on track day.. Then we can all see who's speaking the truth.. I can also say, my friend's bike stock win big bike.. It's just words over words.. Where's the proof brader?

Oh please I am past bragging. I just want to warn new/potential Ape riders to be reminded of the fragilities of the bike. I think most of them are really misleaded here.

 

There's another ex Ape 250 rider from long ago here who is riding a KR now. He was witness to the 250 being trashed too. He can be the proof ya want. I think his name is Alex. Someone around here should have his contact. Hahas we will see who is bragging then.

none of us here are telling everyone that our bike is the best.. we ride because we like it, and we love it.. and we're happy with it..

 

People like lacrimose, if you see through newbies who wanna get this bike, you can only see him telling them the potential pocket breaker. ultimately that leaves it to the newbie to weigh out if this is the bike for them or otherwise. None of us are misled.

 

I was told not to get it, but i get it anyway, because i like it and i was aware of its potential breakdown. This is an aprilia thread, where we gather information on how to maintain our bikes, what is best for our bikes and for us to gather, meet and make friends.. I'm not condemning you of posting here, but seriously, who in this thread is boasting about having the best bikes of all kinds?

 

Races, like games, there are bound to be winners and losers. At end of the day, it's up to each individual's preference.. But overall it's for the fun and to test the capability of each other's bike, not to boost each other's ego, like lacrimose said.

Thanks bro! Got to mask the wind noise la. Its those ear piercing loud noise. Seems like my other cam handled the wind noise better. Got change the camera man also cause he got shaky hands. hahahahahhaha!!!!! :angel: Oh ya... the lighting also very bad. Change street lamps? hahahaha!!!!!
