went to FM to service, ah seng said that air fuel mixture gt nothing to do with valve not opening... is tis true he say is due to 2t too much or the rave unit which control the valve motor that activates the valve.

from my 6 mths of knowledge , too much 2t builds a lot of carbon but it makes ya bike more powerful lah ... yup .. the rave unit controls the valve . after 8rpm it electronically opens ya valve .. am i ryte ..

We are plannning a free & easy trip for ARC, we intend to drive up so we can have more energy for other activities.

 

WHEN: 26th December (Friday) till 28th December (Sunday)

Approx $$ needed : min S$200

 

Hotel booking to be handled by macan. Rooms for two cost $46.50 each per night.For car rental is between $240 - $300 which leaves us with $50each. Pls pay the sum to macan to make payment. All car expenses like toll and petrol will be shared equally, i've volunteered to take up the responsibility in taking down the expences incurred, i reckon to set aside at least rm100 for car expenses?

A/F mixture too rich = yellow flame, excessive carbon, sluggish throttle response, minimal power.

 

A/F mixture too lean, white flame, excessive heat, crisp throttle response, less power at high revs.

 

A/f mixture perfect, blue flame, minimal carbon, crisp throttle response, maximum power.

 

Insufficient 2T = excessive heat and expansion = piston seizure

 

Excessive 2T = bogged combustion & leaner mixture (leaner raises risks of seizure) = false sense of a crisper throttle response hence perception of more power

 

I have repeated the abovementioned facts extracted from books written by tuning gurus overseas - mechanics who have some proper training and certification.

 

Yet, time and again, I hear the same bullshit from the same people and mechanics.

guys...i really need ur help now... my starter motor spoilt so cant electric start...hav to push start...when to workshop at amk juz now...he quote me $700!!!! WTF!!!! $700 for a start motor??? is it for real???cause the price he quote me looks like he's riping me off??? so before i do the changes...i would like to knoe the real price...im no master in aprilia...but $700 is a no go man...serious... help plz anione!!! thnks...
