Hi Peeps

 

I'm a Aprilia RS125 rider (New Model). I have just obtained my bike license for a very short period of time. Therefore, I have some questions that I would like to enquire.

 

1st: Where can I purchase the original Aprilia RS125 parts (I heard that there's an authorised dealer in Singapore)? May I have the address? WEDA but there are other shops that bring in aprilia parts

 

2nd: I would like to change the stock levers to racing clutch/brake lever. May I know where could I do so? which brand u looking for

 

3rd: I would like to replace the stock footrest with an adjustable racing foot rest. Likewise, where could I do so? many rearsets on e market. define which model u looking for

I would be extremely grateful if someone could fill me in with the necessary information I need. Your reply will be appreciated greatly.

2. Ordering online will cut out the overheads that middlemen skim off, reducing your costs. Do your homework first by checking the prices online (include shipping charges). Then check with local bike shops on the part availability and how much they charge for it. If it's cheaper (since they get merchant discounts), get it through the bike shop.

hey khai, my speedo not working, changed my speedo cable but still not working, think its speedo gear thats spoilt (according to racewerks more than 6 months back), you know how to check? can help me double confirm it? dont wanna buy from weda then find out its not the speedo gear thats spoilt.

lacrimosae, will changing the brush make my starter motor work as per normal??? need help here...if changing the brush means there is a high %tage for the sm to get spoilt again then might as well i get a new 1...but if it is ok then i think i'll save alot n treat u a beer...haha...need ur advise... thnks!!!

2. Only Brembo & Braking avialable locally now, you can try motorworld, HKL or any workshops that carry these brands. There are others but you have to buy from webs. Buy from Webs is cheaper.

3. You can order from motorworld, prepare to wait for 3 months till their combine shipment arrive.

I can get anything for the Rs250 but the question is how much are u willing to spend on the 250. I did not see this post till now.

 

Alex, no offence u remember when u told me my pilot jet broken? U told me to seek from workshops didn't u? Now even workshops can't find a replacement, so for the pilot jet they bought a 2nd hand caborator so that i can have the jet.. sorry if i offend u in anyway...

anyway anione tried ows iridium spark plug and ows gear oil before ? Im using it now .. Juz got to know bout it at racewerks ...

Can you feel any difference by using said sparkplug and gear oil? Better sparking, higher compression, smoother gear shifting?

 

it all boils down to you. And honestly, IMO, i think there's not much difference.

 

I used Rockoil for ages. NGK for eons. No problems. But... I'm sure you were told whatever you were using is very good??

nope ... I went unique and they dun hav denso ... So i tried ows ... It cost 25 bucks ... But i prefer denso plug and maxima oil ... Rock oil not bad leh ... 22 bucks only neway

Yes, you can change the carbon brushes. It's a lot cheaper and will work.

 

I thought your starter motor was completely dead that's why I suggested getting a new one

I didn't expect you guys to show up so late. I mentioned 2pm, so I brought everything down in a huge Samsung printer box and waited at my void deck from 2pm-2.30pm. No one showed up so I went home. At 3pm someone else showed up so I just gave whatever was left in the box.

 

I was very busy after 3pm, hence posted clearly to come pick up all the freebies at 2pm. I think some garang guni guy took all the spare parts made of metal - including the 154, spare foot pegs and mount, gear shifter/brake, brake lever, head cowling mount, fairings, sprockets, etc... There were also 2 pairs of racing gloves. But someone called me at 4.10pm and apparently nothing's left.

 

The thing is, I don't like to keep old/dirty stuff once I've packed or organised them. Especially after I put them all in a box, I don't like looking at them in a corner, so must take them out of my home.

 

It's ok lah, I have other stuff to clear. Will let you know again for my next 'yard sale'.
