hello all...im planning to get aprilia or mito after i pass my TP ...actually i saw quite a few types of bikes quite nice but dunno which 1 would suitz me also... which is a better bike in terms of performance and fuel consumption for aprilia and mito? pros and cons ? which would be better to get a new or 2nd hand bike? any bikeshops to intro ? thks all :bouncefire:

From my short experience with a Mito, i feel it is the more powerful and more "hardcore" of the two, it is also the more rare one of the two. Both needs TLC from the owner otherwise she will throw tantrums. There are a few good condition 2nd hand Mito on sale at 1st motor, Ubi Rd 1 Blk 3006, u might wanna take a lookie there... Aprilia, i think better if u can find private seller, better if its someone from SBF. :goodluck:

Meet at Kallang KFC at 12.00pm, wait around till everyone shows up, then leave at 12.45pm

Latecomers, or riders who wanna join us with no prior RSVP - no worries! If you dont see any other Prilla there, just head straight down to ECP.

After the lucky draws, checking out stuff there, etc we'll adjourn to somewhere that can accomodate 6-8 bikes (yes, its pathetic, i know, compared to the RVF group I was with today, 23 bikes; but what to do when everyone doesnt give a shite abt Prilla meetups haha), probably Marina Square or back to Kallang, grab some grub, and go rounding somewhere.

Attached below are pictures of my 2nd Aprilia, and the outing today (Sat) with the RVF crew.

RVF turnout for SBF Anniversary Event at ECP.

Oh, by the way....

Yeah, I got so frustrated and SICK of taking public transport, even taxis feel so SLOW coz they keep getting caught in jams - that I got this bike for daily commute.

Hey bro, nice narration and pics to go along with it.

Actually, your 2nd bike colours are nicer the more I look at it.

Remember the other funny thing was yesterday a lot of us had OGK helmets? Wassup with that man.....

I gonna buy the Arai Goth Tracker man ..even the Rapide Or is too common.

But.....your OW was like THE Arai boss!!! :pity: :slurp:

I spotted an RSV 1000 R heading towards the SBF fair at around 5+, as I was leaving the area with the R1/R6 guys....

Did you guys catch sight of it? Was a grey/red number. Beautiful...

hey servo or fspider.

I tink i got a huge problem......

I tink my con-rod(crankshaft) "the axle holding the 2 crank with push the pistons)

is gone .....

Ever since i went to kulai and wack , the following 1-2 weeks later my engine sounded rougher and rougher..

Got it check out at my mech and he said probally the bearing holding the 2 cranks is either lose or the 2 pieces of weight balancing the axle is gone .....

Any rs250ers encounter it before ???

heard it would cost around 700 to 800 buck to get it replace for the OEM parts.....

Anyone can enlighten me ?:giddy: :weep: :nono:

Fspider thanks for yr advice ..

I noe i nid a overhual but wat if its not the pistons which is causing all this problems ?

Does a faulty pistons make yr bike shake at high rev ?

Im still guessing it could be the con-rod (crankshalf)

if im not wrong crankshalf cant be repaired ...

and it must be replace in a whole set .....

Anyone change cranksshalf before here??

u buy da 2003 model and u got enuf power in stock form to keep up with the 150cc bikes.

so many things can change. pipes are just one of them.

reed valves with or with out matching reed case

34mm carb

top head block

quality pistons such as vertex, proX

thinner base gasket

narrow tyres eg 100/70 , 140/50

428 chain n sprocket conversion

carbon fibre rims

pneumatic power valve

just to name a few. hope i answer ur question

Posted

erm....1 thing to note for the piston

proX pistons not necessary better, bike shops use it when no more rotax pistons in stock...in fact its the same thing

try to get rotax pistons, the piston rings are reputed to last longer

for sale :

rotax 122 clutch basket - very low wear, see to believe!

25 piece cdr - brand new $8

17" monitor - flickers when cold $10

castrol chain wax & chain spray - still a lot left $5

If you want a faster bike, easiest and best way is to buy a Class 2A or Class 2 bike.

2B will always be 2B. Even with NOS, there's not much faster you can go.

Want not of how much faster your bike can go, but how much better a rider you can be.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.
