Its the thought that counts. Keep the photo coz we shall always be a part of the first combine meet up. firsts....but definately not the last. for those who never turn up... hope to see u all again next round. Lasts thanx again my fellow italian bikers.... ]

Hi everyone. I've problem starting my RS125. I re-post my problem in this thread hopefully i could get more help.

"Please help !!

I couldnt start my rs125 (FQ plate) from cold (it has not been used for a week).

I pushed the choke level down to choke the machine and turned on the ignition key, the digital display showed the temp as 36 and the battery reading as 11.4. It failed to start after i pressed the start button, and the digital display showed 'cold' on subsequent retries.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. "

ps: After many attempts, the battery reading is now 10.9

Hey Italian stallions!

It was nice tagging along with you guys! Great and fun bunch! Perhaps the next time round we can organise a combined meet with Force V4 (RVF,VFR) for makan, pool and lots of other activities. The way I see it is the gathering of the best 2B and 2A bikes in one show (there will be some best Class 2)

Cheers fellas!

Just a suggestion based on the mito/aprilla gathering that night.... where we see almost everyone trying to beat the red lights so as not to be left behind. We appt 3-4 team-leaders who know the route to whichever place. Then assign 5-6 riders to follow 1 team leader. So even if the light turn red.... so long as you stick close to your group, you will not be left behind. And of cos the team-leader must also look after your group. No weaving in and out of traffic too much... slow down abit when approaching the traffic lights.... stopping by the side if you noticed ur team member got left behind at the traffic lights or jam. That way, we only need to stick close to one person and we will get to whichever place. Of cos we try to maintain the big group cohesiveness whenever possible? What you guys think?

Dont really need to split into teams.

All we need is a few riders to take on the following roles-

1) ride leader

2) markers

3) sweeper

The ride leader stays ahead of everyone else (duh). He leads the pack at a reasonable pace.

2-3 markers stay behind the ride leader.

Sweeper stays behind everyone to ensure there are no stragglers left behind.

Everytime there is a fork, or juntion, the 1st marker stays there, and directs everyone in the right direction, until the sweeper arrives and gives a thumbs up that no one is left behind.

At the next fork/junction, the 2nd marker does his stuff.

The marker then plays catch up with the leader till the next junction or fork in the road where he will stop and direct those behind in the correct direction.

Actually, this is done only for big groups and over very long distances, like when touring overseas.

But good practice for us before going up to Malaysia, where every road looks the same and can be quite confusing for most 1st-timers.

Next time we go rounding, maybe can try this out?

Just a suggestion... :cheeky:

My bike is my master.

Other than daily prayers, I bring my Aprilia Goddess Shell 98 and top grade Unil-Opal 2T. Once a month, I bring her Shell V-Power and she will be pleased.

At her altar, I place photos of her glory days at the track and paintings of her in oil and watercolour. Garlands of flowers adorn her commissioned bronze sculpture.

I have pictures of her in various states of undress that I secretly look at when I touch myself.

Also, twice I year I slit my wrists and offer a blood sacrifice at her shrine to appease her for my wrongdoings of falling and scraping her paintwork.

ps: The above is a work of fiction. Please do not call the coppers on me, thanks.

A second. What does this word mean to you? A blink, a fleeting moment, an ultra-small unit of measurement to measure performance, whether human or mechanical.A second is just a moment, but in motorcycle racing it has now become an incalculable distance.A glance at the starting grid of any motorcycle race is enough to understand how important this small fraction of time has become...

Wont be done editing soon....

Not by a long shot.

Unless someone can buy me a new computer. haha...

Here's the low-down. In case you guys havent read a single one of my posts....

My PC is DEAD. Harddisk is BURNT. Capice?

NOTHING CAN BE RETRIEVED FROM IT.

Stop asking for pics... It aint gonna happen soon. I did have the pics ready for posting, but I was waiting for Servo to send his pics over for me to compile. My PC decided to quit just after he sent his pics.

So quit it, y'all. All the flamin in the world aint gonna bring my PC back. Much less the pics. I've got more important stuff that I lost to worry about.

On a brighter side, the SBF Anniversary pics are still in my camera. So there is still hope.

But unfortunately, while my camera is a 1.3MegPix, I've been taking pix at the max resolution. Servo's camera was taking pix at 0.3MegPix. So the pix are gonna be really tiny with shitty blobs for details, you guys have to make do with.

I reckon we need to use eyz's cam from now on..... :cheer:

Occasionally I do crawl out of my cave to find a PC with a web connection, so I'm not completely gone yet. Just a sentient presence ard SBF....

haha same problem as i did when i brought mine.....

1)clean ur spark plug... wipe dry with clean cloth, oil fouling

2)or change spark plug ngk 8 , easier to start.

3)push start to charge up batt push up a slope slowly roll down

these step 1 or 2 should enable u to start...most aprilians are very good push starters ...

:sian: :sian: :sian:

i believe u keep trying to reignite even it cant start... minimum voltage to ignite is ard 11.2-11.5v... ur battt kena sucked dryvery fast if u dun wait a while before trying again..plus ur starter coil could be easily damaged , very ex ....turn off the fuel pump next time u park overnite cos i think ur carb needle also corroded liao tat why petrol flow like no one businese and wet the plug tat explain the difficulty in startin...keep a few spark plug as reserve .... any thing to verify abt the steps jus sms me on 98265496

umm another alternative which i learnt from my friends is...

try e-starting your bike with the engine kill switch on for a while..

after which turn off your engine kill switch and e-start again..

this has in some ways to do with the spark plug..

though i'd forgotten the reason for doing so.. but it works

and if your batt is low now.. try getting it charge and start it again..

if not try getting 2 piece of long wire to act as a jumper cable to tap power from other source..

which bike shop is your bike in now??

if you have followed the thread and read some of the earlier postings..

you should know which is the few decent shops that we Aprilians send our bike to...

it's usually Ideal by Ah Boon, located at Kaki Bukit Road 1 and First Motor by Doctor Sam located at Ubi Industrial Park vicinity. I brought it to Pang's Scooter at Bukit Merah Industrial Park, only handle by Ah Ken, no one else, or else kanna chopped!

Can you tell us rougly what are the problems that your bike is having??

If not, mayb you can give Servo a call and he'll glad to help you. Can find his no. on the Aprilia Owners' List. Do leave down your no. as well.
