I just got home from Paris. Shopped at the Dainese shop over there, bought a whole bunch of stuff and I didn't even have to break the bank!

Actually Dainese is very cheap and affordable, the problem with buying locally is that JR marks up the price very ridiculously, making Dainese some sort of 'atas' brand.

Check this out:

Air-2 Tex in full black - €169, S$262 after tax (Selling for S$550 in JR)

Scarpa Tulu in brown suede - €149, S$231 after tax (Selling for S$360 in JR)

Scarpa U-Turn in full black - €129, S$200 after tax (Not sold in JR)

Bruxelles raincoat set - €79, S$122 after tax (Selling for S$200 in JR)

Just tested the Air-2 jacket in the scorching afternoon sun, very breezy and cool. Good thing I bought one more.

Next time I'm going to the D-store overseas, better place your orders!

Change to an aftermarket exhaust, like a Jim Lomas or Jolly Moto. I can vouch that these systems put Arrow to shame.

singapore using all this pipe is like paying money to the government man ! i wish to get jolly moto but is like riding with $700 in your hand giving it away to the TP

Wössner are regarded by Europe’s leading motor sport engine builders as being the piston of choice when building an engine not only to perform, but to withstand the stresses and duress’s of competition life.

Wössner pistons feature a unique Moly coating on the skirts and a grade of 4032 Alloy (T6) which allows the engine builder to run a closer piston to bore tolerance then he might do on another make of piston. This helps remove the slapping noise during cold start, common place among engines running forged pistons due to larger then OE bore clearances.

The crowns of the pistons are also mirror polished to better resist detonation on a high performance engine. Mirror polishing allows a more even spread of heat inside the chamber which will help prevent “hot spots” on piston crowns

I will use this with my new engine after it gets shipped in and swapped. Then I'll let you know.

In the meantime, since I won't be needing replacement parts for an engine rebuild anymore, does anyone need original Rotax parts for a comprehensive overhaul? Piston, cylinder, conrod, bearings, balancer gears, etc... Buying a new engine makes the most sense. For S$4k, you get a brand new engine, instead of rebuilding engines using the same tired casing.

The only hassle is probably registering the new engine with LTA, who has channels for engine swaps but doesn't have staff who actually knows the procedure and will take hours for the registration and inspection to get it approved.

tknge, any news on the aftermarket radiator? The one used by Honda? I'm keen to get it asap. Thanks.

The items available are only the No-Scratch key chain, and Knee Slider.

They're very cute! The texture is like a hard, but rubbery feel. Not plastic, like the real sliders.

Please make arrangements to collect from me asap as I will be busy all the way until my next flight. Have to help out with my friend's wedding on the 4May. I'm leaving SG again on 5May.

PS: I just remembered, JR sells the key chains for S$30 each. haha...

How much were the tyres price u quoted before? I forgot. I think 300 or so is ok for me. Anything more than 320, i wont waste my time. :) Might as well get Bt090, as i'm not going track anytime soon

260 is a very good price. I dont want to pay anything more than 300. And also, i want to check. I've googled for alpha 12, nothing comes up. Even on Dunlop website. Where did u read abt the tyres?
