So, its already June 2010.

Its time to start organising the annual motogp ride up.

Show of hands, who's interested?

I think I found a place to stay for this trip.

Its an apartment somewhere north of KL. But travelling time from the location to Sepang International Circuit is less then 1hr journey.

Very upbeat area, tons of restaurants, eateries, entertainment.

The place can hold 4 person to an apartment comfortably. So if we got 8 people again, can split into 2 apts. Cost is around 80 sgd per person.

For those interested, got a few options la. If got car and car licence, can drive up, wanna ride bike up also can.

I've posted on R125 thread for my buddies there to see and ask if they wanna join up and go together.

I've posted this like 2-3 pages back. As usual, everyone just wants to have an adventure only in SINGAPORE.

Although I might not be riding at the moment, dont mean I cant turn up for GP trip. Me & some of my friends are organising a KL/Genting trip this October so we may just drive up. I'm trying to get them to go during the motogp weekend so that we all can tie up together and I dont miss Sunday's main race.

So if ANYONE ELSE interested in going, please respond.

Accomodations, itinerary are easily planned as long as we can get a confirmed number of attendee.

Post any questions if you have regarding the trip.

me, david viknesh driving up. left one seat. pls nominate urself and come for interview. our "machine" is lexus 450. something like a BMW 7 series. pls contribute fuel and abit of rental fees. hehe.

If I can get my younger bro's car, then it'll only be petrol and toll fees. No need any rental fees. :)

I dont mind pitching in for the car actually.

As stated above, accomodations already found. Cheaper then what GR250 posted for last year. Pay in RM also. Last but not least, its way nearer..

Bro, why waste GOOD, HARD EARNED MONEY on gilles? There's woodcraft. At least the pegs can interchange with ANY of their models if you happen to break them. Plus it wont cost you an arm and a leg when doing replacements, unlike gilles. (There you go, there's my poison arrow) :D

Not much of poison there... Cos Woodcraft is just plain ugly, not to mention not adjustable, and still manages to cost almost as much as a Gilles. I might as well get a set of CRGs, just as fugly but on the cheap side.

Diamond Race is reasonably priced and spares are cheap.

But I've emailed Gilles and have asked for quotation for spares.

If the price is right, I might just settle for 2 sets of Gilles for both my bikes. And get a few spares as standby. Since PJ doesn't carry the titanium color, only black or gold, I'll have to get black.

Right now, availability and aesthetics, not price, are the dealbreakers.

hey Aprilians! I got aprilia extrema which i;ll give away if u wanna treasure it to keep it alive. it is quite a bad condition, i havent used it for 3 years; cos i got revoked back then and am not intendin to ride in Spore. btw, its FM plate, and i got frn who can do bikes and import parts which means repair cost thru vs shop is like 1/3 of the price. now repairs bout $2000; coe till 2014, west paint work. if want, u spend solid $2000 is perfect to make it totally new and racing, and when sell sure one can sell high price say $6000 or wat. its in demand, no more production mah, high performance. i used it since 2005 for 2 years.

Lets see..

Screwdrivers - & + all sorts of sizes and length

Allen Keys - 1 Complete set. But usually you'll tend to use only 3-4 sizes at most.

Spanners - Size 8 to 11

Pliers - Nose pin if possible.

Spark Plug Opener

Solvents - GT85 (I highly reccomend this compared to WD40)

Petrol from your tank - to wash the valve nicely

Soap, Wax, microfiber cloth, sponge - If you feel like washing your bike after working on it. Can prolly do the cynic's bike too. I remember seeing that little demon getting its 1st wash after 10yrs of terrorising the streets and tracks.

A small packet of cooking oil

A bar of soap. These 2 weirdest thing on the list is for you to wash your hands with. This has got to be 1 of the most valuable lesson that cynic taught me last time.

Rags - 1 old towel cut up into small 6inch by 6inch pieces

1 CLEAN towel to wipe your sweat / wipe your hands after its clean

thanks for all the info bro. would try to get all the items mentioned above ready =)

what's the cooking oil for? o.O

There's amberxuan who posts here sometimes. There's a few more out there, but they dont seem to come here & post.

I can never be the only female riding this Italian machine.. I think there's like so many but inactive in forums, or somewhere hiding nicely behind a fullface refusing to pop a hand to wave and smile.

I would prefer to say, I'm the only active SBF member who rides an Aprilia RS125 who actually hang out with the boys in the thread.

i was actually referring to whether you were the only female rider that hangs out with the group.

i do have a female friend of mine that rides a RS too, but from what i know, she dosen't hang out with any aprilians.

so was just wondering.

but its cool to know that its not a 'all guys group' here =)

anyw, i had a minor problem with my bike ytd.

would just like to know, what would you guys do in my situation.

i park my bike at an open air-ed carpark, coz thats the only one available at my place =(

it was raining heavily before i left so my bike was wet and cold when i wanted to leave.

i wiped up the bike then tried starting it. but it couldn't start.

so i tried pulling the choke and starting the bike, but it didnt work as well.

so i resorted to kicking the bike in 2nd gear and pushing it. still, it couldnt start.

resorted to waiting for abt 45mins for the bike to warm up with the surrounding temp b4 i could start it.

and it was stil a cold start. white smoke filled the whole area. >.

just want to know, is there any way i could have done it better?

The only female rider to hang out with the boys in the thread, yes.. but not too often for the past months. due to my busy schedule and lots of hoohaa stuff..

I've met some aprilian female riders who have their stories as to why they dun hang out with them. And i shall not go around telling it here.. long story.. despite telling them that so and so is no longer around and what not, they have their fears or the 'enough is enough' line.

Usually it's the norm for girls to avoid in fear of buayas, which is unavoidable some times. it all boils down to how she handles it/them i think. But i got along well fine with all the boys/men in the thread with no problems at all.. Probably because i have been in the male dominant industry for far too long..

But seriously, ladies.. these boys/men really don't bite..

cheers.

You got read carefully mah?

I state there already mah.. The last 2 items are the weirdest combo in the whole lot, but its for CLEANING PURPOSES :D

I had this problem last time. Happen to be that my cylinder was flooded with petrol. Maybe you shouldnt have pull down the choke to begin with. What I did as a temp solution was to remove the spark plug, crank the engine to flush out all the excess fuel, wipe dry and replace spark, pull choke and crank again. Ought to start straight away.

As for the white smog, I had that too with the problem above. But I let it run for 5 minutes before riding off.

i get your story and can roughly guess what happened.

no one can expect everyone to be the same when meeting a new group of frens,

there's bound to be buayas, and there would be gentlemen as there would be ppl wif quirky characters.

but i agree with what u say abt its the way of handling them too.

if the line is drawn early on, then it would be not much of a problem later on.

okay, im going abit off topic, maybe we can keep this when we meet up =)

oh, i thought it was only the soap that was for cleaning purposes.

but usually, when i get my hands full of industrial grease, dishwashing detergent works quite well.

at least it would remove most of the stains.

i did call one of my frens when i had the problem,

and he told me it could be due to a wet spark plug.

he told me to wipe it dry and try again.

but because he is not an aprilia rider,

and i know this may sound stupid,

but i didnt know where my spark plug is too >.

so i just wiped whatever i could and let my bike dry and warm up by itself.

and when i finally did manage to start,

i left it running for at least 10 mins, with some blowing of the engine.

I took this Indonesia make sport bike during last week in Lombok. Nice.....the main & sub frame are constructed by Alu tubing. Its a 4-stroke 250 with exhaust at tail end. Look like a small size Ducati. :)
