yah that road nice! got some corners. actually i work at cargo complex ah. everyday pass by that route. so u can imagine my pain everyday otw to work. max can ride 90 only while running in -.- somemore i go out to work quite early. the road always very nice n clear. if im lucky all the way from shell petrol station to work sometimes no need to stop. all green. so. juz. imagine. my. PAIN. but finally. now can wack abit alr =) tmrw send go for 1000km servicing and change pipe. wohooo

That's the same road a friend got stopped by TP for speeding just 3 weeks ago. They were waiting with radar gun. Get this, they clocked him at 103km/h at a distance of 2.9KM. They showed him the picture.

 

Please try your luck and try to touch 130km/h! He got 8 demerit points, hope the next guy can get more and beat him!

wow ur fren must be real suay. what time was it? coz ive been working at cargo complex for quite some time and ive never seen tp wif radar guns there. road blocks ive seen a few ah at nite. bt if TPs reali want, that place is a good place for them to meet quota/get promotion, coz no one drives/rides at 60km/h thr(which is the speed limit if im nt wrng) all average 80-90. if ur talking abt loyang ave that is. or are u talking abt netharavon road?

I ran into a couple of TP also near the OCH. Plus there were TP roadblocks otw towards changi village. Plus Tiger Squad near the ferry terminal area. Haha. Power sia.. Since then i'd just go easy over there. Save for that right-hander corner before entering the carparks near the beach. Haha..

Most of us got abt 155km/h max bro. Not much power in the bike unlike the previous models.

I hit 220km/h. Clocked by cbr 600. Was running on a kehnin 39mm carb, Jolly moto full system, vforce 3 and premix with castrol R2 2T. POWER!! Screw class 2A!

Just FYI, but you probably don't want to hear this because you just completed your run-in like a fool, running in procedures don't actually have a speed cap.

 

It's more important to run in your bike with your eye on the tachometer, as revs and engine load is more important.

 

As long as your revs don't exceed 7,500rpm, all's well and good. On 6th gear, 7,500rpm translates to 115km/h.

 

Guess the next time you need to worry about this is after you get a full overhaul and change your cylinder, which will probably be in the region of... 'never'.

On a serious note, our bikes are not meant to take passengers as that will upset the geometry of the bike. The passenger seat is there for legality issues, as racing vehicles are not allowed to be registered as transport vehicles. Also, as most riders here will testify, you will bust your rear suspension very quickly if you take passengers. Most of us have aftermarket suspensions.

I agree with that statement. On my previous model i used to pillion people a lot. Thus after a year my stock one died on me. Now since i got the 07, my stock susp lasted for 3 years cos i stopped taking passengers for abt 2 years plus already. Next i'm waiting to get an aftermarket susp now that my stock one is dying on me lately. Plus the bike handles better and delivers power better when u're riding alone. Personal experience.. No offense intended.

LOL bro i noe lah. i keep my eye on the tacho not the speedo. but im more conservative than that ah. i didnt rev past 6k. 6k rpm is abt 85-90 ard there ah on gear 6. but. alls over nw. im revving my bike more nw. bt still taking it slow. need my balls to get used to the acceleration first =D

anyway, regarding the pillioning issue. it would be nice if my bike could be used as purely a racing/fun bike, which i use only when i feel like riding. Unfortunately, im nt rich enough to afford this, thus my bike doubles up as my transport too. So pillioning is inevitable. But like i said, wherever i can i try not to pillion. I always carry only 1 helmet around. and i always try n squeeze out of situations where someone ask me to send them somewhere or wana tumpang me. and its for a simple reason. coz i myself know that the bike feels different with a pillion. and i know that my ability to control it is reduced as compared to when im riding alone ie im nt able to go as fast, not able to corner as low, no able to maneuver the bike as quickly etc. dun get me wrng. it dosent mean that im a dangerous rider when im pillioning someone. i juz compensate for all the above by riding more defensively ie i dun ride as fast as when im alone, i dun squeeze thru traffic etc.

 

so yah. back to the point. as much as possible i dun wana pillion. thus my interest in the single seat cowl. juz wondering if i fix that would i still be able to transport "certain impt ppl" around. haha

nv get ur bike from mah..... i got freaking bad experience to share...... previously i bought from them @ a value which they say everything in... after signing and looking interest they say not included .... nvm... thats first... agree to collect bike @ 1pm end up collecting @6pm... ride less than 3km bike broke down... sian...

 

next i went back like every alternate days to mah for the first month cause bike keep dying..... reason given is pipe not suitable carb keep flooding .. and crap reason given is rs125 cannot warm up wan the plug will fuse and carb will flood ... **** them X2...

actual fault after going to a reputable shop to rectify.. was wrong jetting and battery dying off. anyway i got my bike tow like 4 times in the first month.

 

next recently did top svcing ... found out that they did not clear my valve @ at all and nvm ... worst of all my valve can be obvious see that it has been like re attach back after breaking.... **** them X3 ... nvm valve ordered..... they did not even use proper gasket some places just used cut rubber to act like gasket..... KNNCCB...

 

so my advise to u, wan buy from mah think twice. unless u have extra cash to kinda rectify those stuff. buying a aprilia = getting ready to spend .. so if u wanna save get a sp rxz kr... everything is cheaper

 

so far have spend quite abit on my bike and can foresee more to come.

U can get the bike from mah. but dont let them touch ur bike ah. buy already then forever f**k off frm that place. juz go thr to pay instalments ony. my new experience wif them. just a couple hours ago i asked my dad to send the bike thr to change my pipe. my dad reach alr the mech didnt wana do it coz theres alot of bikes. ask to cme back on monday. but yest i call he say can come today. so i juz called em up n f**k em upside down till they agreed to fix it. gona send the bike to a proper workshop to make sure its fitted properly aft i collect the bike. im really guessing they're nt even gona rejet the carb. tink they will juz fix pipe n give back to me. scared they do half f**k job coz they lazy. damn asses.

Are you joking?? Of course the dumb MOFOs wont rejet the bike. They try to do the minimum work. They dont know nuts about Aprilia for sure!

 

I recommend you got to 37 motoring and up your main jet to 135 after changing your pipe. Also make sure they put the magneto key in to accelerate the firing. It comes with the exhaust and in alot of cases, they forget to do it!!! Make sure you ask them this!!

Gilles is very nice, and is set slightly higher up. You can adjust it. Very nice to look at, but useless for street riders. Should be the last thing to do on your list.
