nv get ur bike from mah..... i got freaking bad experience to share...... previously i bought from them @ a value which they say everything in... after signing and looking interest they say not included .... nvm... thats first... agree to collect bike @ 1pm end up collecting @6pm... ride less than 3km bike broke down... sian...

next i went back like every alternate days to mah for the first month cause bike keep dying..... reason given is pipe not suitable carb keep flooding .. and crap reason given is rs125 cannot warm up wan the plug will fuse and carb will flood ... **** them X2...

actual fault after going to a reputable shop to rectify.. was wrong jetting and battery dying off. anyway i got my bike tow like 4 times in the first month.

next recently did top svcing ... found out that they did not clear my valve @ at all and nvm ... worst of all my valve can be obvious see that it has been like re attach back after breaking.... **** them X3 ... nvm valve ordered..... they did not even use proper gasket some places just used cut rubber to act like gasket..... KNNCCB...

so my advise to u, wan buy from mah think twice. unless u have extra cash to kinda rectify those stuff. buying a aprilia = getting ready to spend .. so if u wanna save get a sp rxz kr... everything is cheaper

so far have spend quite abit on my bike and can foresee more to come.

I feel sorry for you.

From this i can see, certain problems with brand new bike. Almost all the time, the carb float is spoilt causing the bike to die off.

The battery isnt always working well, probably faulty.

It's a shame most buyers come to the forum after buying their bike, not before.

Why dont all you new guys get together and head to Mah to F them? Write a petition or something.

Gilles is very nice, and is set slightly higher up. You can adjust it. Very nice to look at, but useless for street riders. Should be the last thing to do on your list.

Bro. Anything else u wanna recommend getting for my bike?

F**K U!!! IM SUPER JEALOUS! IVE BEEN DROOLING ABT THAT SINCE I GOT MY BIKE SIA!!! LOL.

looks damn chio sia. care to share hw much u got it for? and hws the feel? is it set further back than the stock footrest?

vteclee : im already starting to see their ugly side ah. U can get the bike from mah. but dont let them touch ur bike ah. buy already then forever f**k off frm that place. juz go thr to pay instalments ony. my new experience wif them. just a couple hours ago i asked my dad to send the bike thr to change my pipe. my dad reach alr the mech didnt wana do it coz theres alot of bikes. ask to cme back on monday. but yest i call he say can come today. so i juz called em up n f**k em upside down till they agreed to fix it. gona send the bike to a proper workshop to make sure its fitted properly aft i collect the bike. im really guessing they're nt even gona rejet the carb. tink they will juz fix pipe n give back to me. scared they do half f**k job coz they lazy. damn asses.

It's in the 700s SGD. including delivery, etc. I bought them online. Installation was almost idiot-proof too, although 70% is through "experience" (ie, a good feel of all things mechnical) as the flippin manual/instructions is written in German and then translated into Englsih bia Babel fish hahahah.

Not to make you any more angrier and jealous (hahaha), this rearset is not just a replacement - it totally changes your riding position AND style, probably also because I installed the highest/farthest back setting. By forcing a very comfortable and natural front/forward straddling position, I'm able to lean better into corners and command a better control by quicker change of CG with lesser effort. As well, because the rear brake lever is now much lower from the footrest, it forces you subconsciously to rely much more on the front brakes - as one would do on trackday - and something I find immensely helpful.

Just my own tuppence worth of opinion, hope that helps, if indeed you are thinking about getting a set for yourself. Cheers (and drool on)!

hi.... everyone ... know where gt get gd n nice riding jacket

Have you heard of the revolutionary and world-renowned patented Motoair Airbag Jacket. This jacket was given to me as a gift and has never been worn (OK, well I did try it on in front of the mirror). Unfortunately (for me, and very fotunately for you!), I am already a proud owner of two other jackets! This jacket is a black European size S and will easily fit a typical Asian M/L. More info can be found at the Singapore agent site: http://www.airbagjacket.com.sg/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=13&category_id=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=90

It costs 450 sgd brand new, but I'm letting it go at a $100 discount, only for Aprilia riders!

700 bucks. damn ex sia! like sub zero said if i had 700 nw definitely nt gona spend it on just a footrest! it would be spent my a 34mm carb n vforce reed valve first. then probably a set of bitubo shocks.

speaking of shocks, im starting to not like the stock shocks. i feel its nt stiff enuf. esp obvious when i start to enter gradual long corners at higher speeds(like on the road at loyang ave otw to changi village).

anw regarding the woodruff key, i did a google on it and i still cant get a rough idea what it is and what its supposed to do. anyone can help?

I think vik is refering to the woodruff key.

Yup.. Correct. Like i said, it accelerates the firing. There have been arguments saying it's not good etc. But I've been using it for 5 yrs, no problem.

Lacrimosae can elaborate. He's better at this. :)

Hi there, let me know if there's anyone out there interested in a used rearset RS125 (original stock), for a token sum.

I think you should keep it. I am a hoarder myself, I keep enough parts to build another bike, but you never know when you might need it. I always bring a spare set when I go to the race track, just in case I crash and destroy my aftermarket rearsets.

Are you joking?? Of course the dumb MOFOs wont rejet the bike. They try to do the minimum work. They dont know nuts about Aprilia for sure!

I recommend you got to 37 motoring and up your main jet to 135 after changing your pipe. Also make sure they put the magneto key in to accelerate the firing. It comes with the exhaust and in alot of cases, they forget to do it!!! Make sure you ask them this!!

Thanks Vik, that's great advice and I would have said the same. The woodruff key advances the ignition timing overall throughout the rev range, so it's not good if you ride under 9,000rpm most of the time. The woodruff key is good for riding at 9,000rpm all the time because that is the only time you need advance ignition before your piston is at TDC (Top Dead Centre).

Gilles is very nice, and is set slightly higher up. You can adjust it. Very nice to look at, but useless for street riders. Should be the last thing to do on your list.

About 700plus. You can find it on PJME.

Yes, absolutely useless! haahaha... I recommend the cheaper alternative, Diamond Race. Looks good, and its half the price. So are replacement spare parts!

gosh. whats this magneto key ur talking abt? can explain abit. dun wana sound like an idiot ltr when i ask them abt it. i googled it bt couldnt find much info abt it and its function

We are all fools once. I even rode 3,000km during my run-in, at 6,000rpm max. hahaha

juz got back my bike. First impression. Can really feel thqt the bike is more... Free. Like not congested anymore. Bike feels lighter. But thats abt where all the good things end. Why? Coz they nv rejet the carb. Horrible. Flat spots at 5-6k rpm. 7-8kmrpm oso. Bike has lost the pull at above 7500 rpm. And the bke vibrates alot more than previously. Anw am gona get the carb rejetted asap. Hopefully will solve my problems.

updates on the performance of the bike after pipe change :

Am definitely loving the sound of the pipe, esp when valve open =D

Bike is running rich. Black oil can be seen coming out of the pipe. Im guessing its not 2T coz i went riding with my fren just now and he told me that no white smoke coming out so should mean that 2T amounts is not excessive.

Has trouble going up the tachometer smoothly. Flat spots most noticeable at 5-6k rpm, 7.5-8k rpm and also tried twice just now 11-12k rpm.

Bike has alot more vibrations im not sure why.

One good thing though is that the clanking sound problem when i drop gears and use engine brake is gone. Quite surprising.

Am gona get the bike rejetted asap. Is 37 motoring open on sundays? Need to get servicing done. Need to change the horrible horrible gear oil and also top up a better 2T coz mines finishing alr.

Cant wait to feel the performance after that. Next on the list a 34mm carb which i intend to experiment with tuning on my own. And also a pipecross/K&N filter.

Btw rite, the spanner light is flashing on the meter. Read the manual it means bike is up for servicing(apparently theres pre-programmed mileages on the bike for the servicing indicator to come on). Anyone noe hw to remove this so i can do servicing on my own in the future? Says on the manual that only "authorised" dealers can remove this.

Need some advice. Stock rear sprocket is 40 teeth. Is it advisable to change to bigger teeth? Maybe 41 or 42. Im going for pick up power not top end.

Hi guys, got myself a 2nd hand RS 125 a week back. The bike's running superbly and everything works fine, the only thing that's not working is my sense of direction. I just cannot seem to remember roads, especially when my friends are leading the way. Or maybe I just need to get lost a few more times to start remembering them.

Well, if you guys have any outings or what, I'd love to join in. Till then, ride safe!

37 Motoring open only from Mon to Sat. Go for rejet and tuning. Try the main jet i recommended.

I'd recommend not reving frequently to 11-12 K RPM so often until you rejet. You're running at a lean mixture now since you've changed your exhaust.

Leave sprocket setting as stock. I feel tat's best. Even now, your top end would be 160 to 170 tops.

bro lacrimosae!! where are u!! i need some tuning tips frm u!! lol

anw i opened up my carb juz nw. Since i didnt have spare jets to play around with, i adjusted the needle. used the lowest clip setting(means needle is set at the highest position when i put back in). nw the bike pulls better when the throttle is 3/4 to full open. but 1/4 throttle the bike is like s**t. so i tried playing around with pilot jet setting. couldnt get it right after an hour working on it. by then its like 8pm alr. didnt wana disturb the neighbours wif my constant dragging of the throttle so i stopped. nw the "s**t" bike is sitting in the carpark. argh. feel like going down to try n tune nw. but scared ppl throw egg at me. gona get some main jets to play ard with tmrw. hopefully can take half day off frm work.

just wana check. if the rpm has trouble going across a certain rpm, does it mean that the mixture is too lean?

The mixture might be too rich or lean, thus you have the richer jet compensating for the leaner one during the transition, causing the engine to sputter and feel 'jerky' or weak.

If you are interested, do drop by on 11 Oct 4pm as I will be doing a quick DIY with Matthew. Address is Block 21 Joo Send Road.

And do try to do your homework first by reading all the links I've provided. Everything you need to know is in there.

i'll try see if i can drop by. nd to send my bike for inspection first. Btw im riding an 09 model, red white in colour stock paintwork. in case ur wondering whos the noob idiot who drops by later. haha.

btw i havent managed to read thru ALL the links u provided. I did got thru some of them though. Read through a few. Did some other readings on other sites on my own. I'll have to say first though. I do haf some basic knowledge about the workings of the carb but i dun haf any hands on experience ie i wouldnt noe whats to be done once i open up the tank and am faced by the daunting task of actually doing sth to the bike. So dun mind me if i stand there like an idiot later on nt knowing what to do. But i hope i'll learn sth useful. Even if its by juz looking at what u n matthew are gona do.
