Hi guys, I am also looking for rear pump brake. I think mine is leaking. Not sure can fix or not. Ah Boon already looked at it but can't fix. I am also selling my friend's replica's starter. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

My rear shock is still working fine, but it squeals like a pig to the slaughter because my bushings are busted and Ideal has yet to bring in new stock (as usual, spare parts from Ideal are less punctual than the British Rail).

 

You guys with the squeaky rear might wanna try out 1st motor. Look for seng, he fixed my squeaky rear for abt $15, since its cheap u guys might wanna try it first. In my case it was a simple job cleaning a squarish looking linkage in oil then re-lube it again, no changing parts needed.

Since you've got a stock rs pipe, which is supposedly way less restrictive than milo pipes, I don't think it's surprising that you can reach 13k. My guess is your tacho's just fine.

 

Generally speaking, I don't think it's advisable to rev past the red line unless your engine has been rebuilt with reinforced parts specifically built to withstand the punishment, and you're willing to rebuild your engine periodically. It's red for a reason.

 

While we're talking about gearing and sprockets, anyone out there running a 40 (which is the stock size, I believe), or even 42 sprocket? Do you feel it's easy to live with around town? What about travelling at 90kmh on expressways?

 

I'm running a 38 sprocket, and don't travel above 110kmh, so I'm thinking of going up a sprocket size for better acceleration. It would also remove the big temptation to stretch my bike's legs all the way.

For u guys out there who got front or rear shock worn off

chrome tubes i founda place where we can replate these chrome tubes

tink they use titanium nitrate to recoat after scraping off the original

worn off tubes.. i believe they do both ront and rear shocks

at arnd 150 per side

so if anione is interested we can send our shock together n maybe get some

dollars off

hmm... chrome plating?? why not try anodizing? i heard from meesiah that Speedzone at syed alwi road did it very cheaply.. but you gotta dismantle the parts yourself and bring it for them to anodise..

Hi guys! This is Dylan. Just to clarify, not that I'm not interested for you guys to be coming down as a club. Of course it'll be great if all of you come together.

 

Just that this is more of an exhibition, no riding involved. So it really doesn't matter if you come as a club or not? So I wish everyone can come at their convenience and enjoy themselves.

 

Also, I see there's some other outing coming up. Is this confirmed? I've been logging onto internet less and less these days due to work. Will check back here again, and see if I can join in (as a Aprilian, not as a marketing manager!)

 

I also see in some other posts that someone is looking for an original RS pipe? If it is the infamous "Milo Kong" he's looking for, let me tell you that we have a brand new one in our stocks! Surprise surprise... Come Inspection Time, you know who to look for.. hehe..

omg guys got a scare of my life just now. When I hit 8k rpm suddenly the bike jerk damn hard and rpm drops to abt 6.5k in a sec. Then i move to the side and stop, immediately the engine died. Then a bit hard to start the bike must press quite a few times. Any one have any idea what happen?
