The only victims of crime are those who think they never will be one.

I strongly concur.

No worries Suf. Was good to run into you after ages.

Would you be kind enough to post your itemised bill from 37 Motoring here from your top overhaul for the rest of the riders and myself to see?

Thanks!

The total dough summed up to $550. I personally am a detailed admin individual - i have documentation of almost every purchase and servicing done all slotted in a file just in case. I'd like to break down the details here in this forum but it'll be better for me to share it with you guys once we meet up. I wrote the details down on the Wossner piston cardboard while negotiating with Ah Seng.

On 10/11/2010 @ 1915hrs - servicing includes = Ah Seng's Labour + Ah An's Decarbonising Labour + Wossner Piston + Maxima Coolant + Maxima Gear Oil + Spark Plug NGK + Gasket Top Set + Pin Bearings + Jammed Brakes Service + Brake Fluid = $558. (Wow, this might just scare the newbies!)

Once again, i'll let ya know the individual pricing once we meet up. Why? It just may spark fire in the woods. I got hte jammed brakes thingy whereby the brake pads are just hugging my discs after riding in the heavy rain - another reason not to ride in the floods and rain.

I'm aiming to hit 1000km with current strict running in of 60-75km/h @

Mine was a routine full service. My bike is fully functioning properly with no hiccups except for that brake clogging thingy so i decided to rectify that along with a 'year-end' full service. I decided to be safer than sorry and sayang2 my bike - decided to change my piston. Previous stock piston is actually functioning fine just that there is a vertical 'scar'. The old piston is still with me btw.

True, im not on premix. But occasionally, i'd pour remaining 2T into my fuel tank after replenishing my 2T tank.. I'm not sure if its okay but a bit more lubrication wouldnt hurt i guess. Please correct me if im wrong.

Well, considering adding more 2T will actually lean out your mixture contrary to common misconception that it richens the mixture, u might get a seizure due to an overly lean mix. I know of someone whose spark plug melted because the mixture was too lean after he added 2T into his tank on top of running injection. So good luck with your next seizure. Hope u can find a new block on the cheap.

Bro. Thanks loads for the advise to convert to premix waay back. After a long streak of frequent seizures and jams, the bike is performing well now. Just need to work on the top end. Never regretted doing the conversion. I appreciate the advise man. :thumb:

When selecting a proper 2T for doing premix, other than doing the "mixability test" with the normal fuel we always use, another thing we should look out for is that the 2T is fully synthetic, is that right? is "a synthetic ester added" = to fully synthetic?

Yay just got my brake caliper and carb, just wondering any of you know how much a rubber brake host costs for the front? The carb came with a 146 main and 60 idle, dont even know what my 28mm is running. But from what Lawrence deduced, its too rich.

Okay today i spent the whole day at 37 motoring, had difficulty finding but called a few of you guys and got the right directions, thanks. in the end got a front hel at 85, spent some time with ah seng, he was quite busy in the end i borrowed tools and did the simple stuff like removing carb and change inlet haha! then he busy with a s4. I CHANGED TO 34MM! aww man now i know what ive been missing out! it feels fantastic especially in the higher registers!, the px cone filter gave the low throaty growl kinda cute, feel really fun now! i think ill install tyga reeds, and an overhaul, followed by a nice paintjob then ill just enjoy my ride :D
