Ask yourself these 2 qns first.

1) Do you have deep pockets?

Maintenance is not cheap, lots of workshop out to carrot us. So unless you are very resourceful, willing to meet up with the existing ARC ppl to learn more and dont mind getting things done yourself, you are throwing money into yet another bottomless pit. These Italian beast maybe only 125cc, but its a 2stroke engine which means that you are getting twice the power cycle of a 4stroke. In layman terms, you are looking at the power of a 250cc 4stroke bike. However, all these power comes at a price, you have to fed the fineness fuel, 2T and maintain it like its your "Prrreeeccciooouusssss".

Fuel consumption is around 20km/l to 25km/l for a stock bike. However, its hard to find a 2nd hand aprilia that isn't stock. And if the bike isn't well tune, u will get screwed up consumptions. Only "very" well tune bike will be able to achieve stocks consumptions or even better.

Just wonder what you would consider as the fineness fuel, best 2T? I'm running on V-Power and Castrol 2T (injector) now ... any better deal?

Hi Chris,

I hope u haven't already ordered this item, because I made one myself.

Well, not exactly. I bought the full sized cover from Ah Boy for S$10; cut the bottom half off; then paid a seamstress $15 to hem it together with a drawstring in the hem, and a bootlace tightener so I can tighten it

Total cost is $25.

If u really want a kickarse cover, I recommend the Geza Gear cover. I can show it to u if u come for my next DIY on 26 Apr.

The Geze Gear cover is insanely expensive!!!! T_T But i would like to see yr diy cover though. Ahaha! Cya on 26 then :)

yea, i know the feeling. Totally sucks ttm. The first day i got my bike, it was towed because someone itchy backside try to play with my bike while i was away.

And don't worry, you are in good hands.

That sucks, what did that someone do to your bike to the point that it needs to be towed away?

The owner went back home liao haha. What time did you come back? My bike was already on queue and i think its the 3rd in line. Plus its already quite late and i doubt ah seng got enough time. Does he keeps the bikes which are meant to be repaired in his workshop or outside? I scared ppl scratch :\

Yes, you can. You should vary your max RPM occasionally to ensure a good run in. Let the piston and crank get used to varying loads. :)

I believe 7rpm is only nearing a 100km/h if u r using fully stock? As my rpm use to be 7.5k rpm to hot 100km/h when I was using 28mm stock.

Depends on sprocket setting. I hit 110 with 7k rpm.

I top 110km/h at 7500 rpm just now. Because of my arrow pipe i guess?

It's due to your sprocket setting, and yes, 100 to 110 occasionally is fine. :)

Change to yr settings messaboogie recommend. Was running well but the bike screw up when I'm heading home. First few gears rpm struggling to go above 7. Once it pass 7, the power just kick in.

I remember a post sometime back regarding the same prob as me.

Speed and rpm goes down even when I open full throttle at gear 6th. Acceleration becomes very weak. Searching for one hr but can't find the post.

bro, remember, every bike's different... wat works 4 one bike may not work 4 another even though specs r more or less e same, it juz does'nt work out tt way. hit ur carb's "reset button" n try adjusting one jet at a time. or, if u wan, join me n cris 4 a plug chop session... my bike's ready so im juz waiting till my work allows it...

Qns to e guys hu've done plug chops, do u start tuning from top end(WOT) or bottom end(1/4 throttle)?

the one and only...
