Hanif bro, making a bike rev higher is seriously difficult, expensive and potentially dangerous. You'd have to rebuild your engine, change con rod, pistons, high-comp gaskets, and even then you'd risk running into problems. Serious racers strip and rebuild their engines as often as after every race, even with fancy components.

Frankly speaking, high revs cause more stress to engines than high compression or forced induction. Tiny tiny sprocket a lot more practical, even if you take 1 hours to reach 230km/hm, heheheh!

macan_putih think u jus stick with ur TZM....... cos it very hard to mod till above 200km/h for aprilia unless u really will to throw TONS of $$$$ it not like TZM where parts can be gotten from Malaysia.. aprilia parts is from italy.....every time u really race most prob u need change a new set of engine balancer at $110..

plus u really need to have a lot of patience ,$$$$$$$$$, , passion to maintain such modd aprilia.... are u willing to spend 1k each mth on mod and maintaince..:giddy: cos there a MAD RS which spend at least $500 to 1k every month on mod and maintaince.... then u wan mod almost need to wait for 1-2 mths for the racing parts to arrive from italy... full tank 13litres including reserve can only go 140km on this race setting when riding on road, on track full tank can only last 40+km ......

jus keep ur TZM.... cheaper and more economical .. more power also....:cheeky: :cheeky:

"My understanding is that top speed is governed by sprocket size, so I wouldn't be surprised if a modded RS125 could pull 230km/h; just change to a tiny tiny sprocket. The real question is: How long would it take to accelerate to that speed?

Changing the carb isn't a problem, many of us have done it.

Can share with us how modded your TZM?"

Was at a traffic light at the junction of holland rd and sixth avenue yesterday. Out of nowhere MV augusta pulls up beside me. Totally enraptured. light turns green MV takes off... still enraptured... mouth hanging open from the sound now... get horned... revv... realise i'm in neutral... get horned again... kick bike into gear and potter off... it is as gorgeous as it looks in all those magazines... killer bike...

Bet Augusta rider was laughing his ass off...

I know that...i meant practical in terms of usability....taking 20 mins to reach 90km/h isn't exactly practical issit?

dude, that guy who said wanna try ya 1st 4 gear isn't a 125.. it's a bigger brother of the 125.. aka 250.. kaka

judging on ya enthusiasm, i believe ya looking at performance mod, rite?

anyway.. like xxes123 had said.. if ya got the money, these are all the mods ya do.. size 39mm carb, racing arrow, v-force 3 reed valve, mitaka big bore kit and racing CDI..

can check with Ideal or First Motor for the parts. Alternatively, if ya wanna import parts yaself, try this website CMP Racing
