Wow.

I havent been online for 3 days.

And the last 3 pages just sprung up from nowhere!

Even more surprisingly.... It has been mostly trash talk that I'd thought I'd never see here in our Aprilia thread. It usually has been only serious discussions about bike issues and/or meetings etc. Which I thoroughly enjoyed, but its become apparent you guys have been craving for something more.

Its amazing how one girl can change the dynamics of a discussion, isnt it?

:cheeky: :thumb: (Here's a couple of smilies thrown in to relieve the sting)

Macan putih,

My bike can hit 500km/h on a good day, actually. But then again, Galen can hit about 700km/h because his bike's only 10mths old. Chris has a V-Force reed valve with an Arrow expansion chamber and is even doing 800km/h on a bad day. Edwin usually cruises at 962km/h because of his legal Arrow. He even has fantastic mileage on it too! 3,000km per full tank.

Or maybe, our clocks are just not accurate. Oh wait.... Darn. Yeah, its just our damned clocks. Sorry 'bout that.

:cheeky:  (More smilies for fun & laughter, peace & joy. It burns!)

Just some of my cheerleader friends who are interested to meet some bikers. Some of them ride too. They're hoping more guys can turn up so they wont feel too out of place. If not enough guys they wont show at all.

Oh, by the way...

Any shutterbugs here got a good digital camera and would like to sharpen your photography skills?

We will be taking part in the New Balance Singapore Duathlon 2005, held at Marina South, 13 March 2005, 0800hrs to 1300hrs.

Wont be able to get any snapshots there since we'll be wheezing our lungs out. If anyone of you wants a good opportunity to practice with the rich morning rays and a kaleidoscope of shadows and flare, do come to Marina South to check it out!

Lacri... being your unabashedly charming self as always... mocking our poor basta*d italian clocks... lying through your teeth about cheerleaders(that one really hurt... dude it's unethical to get a man's hopes up like that...) And then he asks in earnest for photographers?!

Is always good to see a post from THE cynic!

Hahah kidding bro... Don't have a camera... if you have a cam and really need someone to shoot it, give me a buzz... i'll come down be your cheerleader! We musn't misunderstand lacri... his hostility stems from a place of affection towards us... (either that or he has a stick up his ass everytime he gets online...)

But back to bigger and biker things all! The law is right!

Anyone know the effect of a wet air filter? With the erratic weather of late water's been getting into my air filter via the air intake. My bike's been feeling very rough... bad vibrations every time i pull from above 4k rpm...

By the way, would like to go down to the scrapyard... anyone up? am thinking this sunday? Is it open sundays?

P.S.

Yup Benji, it was a caucasian rider.

Benjy, you're probably the jealous one letting all your pussies roam free outisde Galen's home, arent you??

In the dead of the night, Benjy stalks outisde Galen's house, releasing a dozen pussies in one opportune moment.... *pink panther music plays in background*

Anyway,

Hang on to your posting horses, people....

Keep a tab on your postings. Lets not turn this thread into another Chatter Box thread, where everyone simply posts crap for the sake of posting....

I'm trying to get my own Aprilia Forum up.... Rest assured I will have a section created for the little post whores in us to chat and talk smack about everyone they hate, including me.

I'll have a poll with me as sole contender for the Most Hated Antagonist Award, which I know most of you post whores would love to vote for. hur hur hur

At least we'll have a dedicated forum to discuss bike matters, outings, and trash in different sections, can cut out the clutter and keep threads clean for proper discussions.

Should be done by April. I hate you all too! not.

You are gonna have people up in arms!! Crikey you are a hot blooded one... We shall have to gag lacri soon fellars...

Ben, peace bro!

Muser, we better start a bike discussion pronto before these crazies tear the place down...

Back to bikes!!!!

Okay quick question, Clutch control, Muser and ben both have their biting points set way far... you need to release almost to the end before it bites, mine is real close, it's right there. Heard having the clutch so far is a racer thing, any truth? how does it help?

Pros and Cons?

Discuss shall we?

Excellent! We have a topic starter, my stock '04 rs model can hit 160 and then the speed inches it's way up... Given the fact that the addition of a high performance exhaust system can boost this and that the carbs are 28mm means the opportunity to fly is right there! 140!? Keep it at the red line!! Yeehaw!

it's all in personal preference.. some like to grip tightly to their clutch whenever they gear in, with the gear bites in with just a little release of the clutch..

some lazy ones will like gear in just by squeezing their clutch halfway and the have their biting point somewhere 3/4 off the clutch lever..

it's all in ya preference.. at least it seems to be.. mayb there's really pros and cons to it... next pls...

Can tell me a bit more about it? Personnally how did it affect performance for you and is the difference largely or marginally noticeable?

Ya!! Is terrible! You encounter that before? Is slightly better now... the sniffling only starts at around the flatspot 5K rpm...

hmmm frankly speaking.. i know nuts about the improvement in performance by the carb.. my guess is that.. a bigger carb allows more air to be sucked in for combustion.. as inside the combustion chamber, there's mixture of air, petrol and 2t for ignition, with more air, the combustion will be umm.. stronger?? giving more power?? haha i have no idea.. someone correct me if i'm wrong.. whether it improve the top, mid or low end.. it depends on how ya jet the carb..

and with a bigger carb, ya need to rejet ya carb.. change to a bigger main jet.. meaning.. increasing fuel consumption..

nope so far haven't encounter that before.. have ya checked how much is it gonna cost to change those parts? if ya clutch is giving way soon, change it as well.. cos it's all in the gearbox...
