evenings aprilian bros..ive got some questions actually eversince i accuired this bike..first of all...hope the air is clear yea..e thread seems to be so tensed lately...cool down guys...

 

so anyway...this is it, frm my riding experience with 2 strokes, whichever gear e throttle and it reaches to e certian rpm where e valve opens..i'll feel e acceleration increasing like leaping forward gradually nicely...all e way up up up...but what im experiencing with this aprilia is tht when it reaches 8 rpm...e valve starts to open..and when u twist e throttle more the rpm shoots straight up to 12rpm max but theres no acceleration ..its like as if its clutched in...after like 3 secs (with e same throttle position) e rpm frm 12 will slowly drop down back to 8 and THEN it will gradually go back up...i keep doubting its just like tht...i hope u guys can enlighten me...i keep feeling theres smoething wrong somewhere...clucth plate? settings? i just got back frm ah seng last thurs and he did do setting after e bike was service...or i think its e patrol tuning where he twiches with a screw and adjust e idling...feel like going back to him tmr to check it out or maybe thought of trying david at teck thye? TIA guys...

I think it's difficult to diagnose the problem without trying the bike. I'm not too sure. Could be your clutch plates slipping? Or maybe you're not used to the RS125 from your previous bike.. It can be quite quirky at times. Some of us are meeting at tekka tonite for a quick dinner, then over to my place for a small DIY. Drop me a msg if you wanna come.

 

PS. I dont own the RSV4. I poor boy. My buddy's bike. It's been sold off.

Like how the jailbird badmouthed me to every Aprilian he met at Ah Seng, I'm returning the favour again and again until everyone knows about him. Then he will know not to mess with me. Simple as that.

Pls keep sharing our knowledge to newbies here as they wanted our experience to learn abt machine.. I'm representing some of our dear mate complaining abt this forum.. Past is past and I don't give a damp abt what have any1 done in the past but I give a damp if any1 doesn't know how to take care of their lovely machine..

Aprilia rs125 have feelings too. Same goes to the owner cause the owner ride the bike everytime rather than mechanic so he should know basic abt how the engine run.. Like every1 here, when u go and meet the doctor did the doctor knows how u feel or u explain to him..

Thanks mate..so I guess definitely there's something wrong somewhere on my bike..cause when throttle it'll go all e way up then back down when e throttle position stays and then it'll go back up...later ppl think otherwise cause of e rev

Jengjengjeng!!! If ur thinking wht I'm feeling it is...high chance I guess..probably will drop down tmr to ask him..and and...at least stand by $$$ ??? I'm prepared nevertheless... Just like fish keeping they say, take care of ur water parameters...won't have to worry abt e fish..take care of ur bike..and it'll reward u too..haha..kinda side track liao..I tried riding just now and try e throttle..If I were to throttle bit by bit by bit it won't jump up on e rpm..but once u slightly throttle too much e rpm will jump up all e way till 12 but e feel is like it's clutched in...

Hmm... I was approached by a fellow aprilian yesterday evening about 5pm at Choa Chu Kang Ave 3 Esso petrol kiosk. I just parked my bike wanting to buy cigarettes and he approached me. The first question he asked was 'You stay around here ar?' I replied 'nope' and then he asked 'Where you stay?'. Initially I really tot you are finding trouble with me for cutting into your lane or whatsoever, LOL!! Bro, can identify yourself by replying here or pm me? I'm interested about the diy session but recently I might be quite busy. Anyway I'm still a newbie here so pardon me. =)

wow i would bloody hell wish to try my bike on the track. when is the time to do so? i have about 2weeks plus of road experience only. is by 1 year time road experience ready to go track and try?? and i heard that nowadays need full leather suit then can track. i will try to save money from now on. guys pls post some videos of your track race/session im so interested to see man!!!

 

u can come to the track anytime.. even if u dont have a license or just got it. u do not need a suit for 1st time, if if u can take to it, if u think u wanna persue more into track riding, then look into a decent suit.. as i mention before if u really keen,i have couple of suit,boots,gloves.. i willing to loan out but u must not be more then 175cm & 75kg .. contact meng jeng, he organise rs groupies to pg. btw i be there this Thursday, this Sunday n next Tuesday...

bro ppl like me pay to go for premix... please dun revert back... a little trouble = alot of throttle difference.. one lesser gear to run... more advantage over disadvantage ... go premix go...

 

 

Don't mind me adding more opinion in it..

2t pump indeed supply to carburetor and yes you will save the 2t supply too but do you think it will give enough supply to your piston if you rev it 8000 to 12000 rpm. Normally,we just take advantage of the making of reservoir eg. the 2t reservoir full,you whack the throttle like nobody business cause you think you got enough petrol,2T and strong spark plug. There goes to your carburetor set up and how much 2t pump can keep up the petrol flowing to your piston to keep burning. Remember,the bigger main jet,the more 2t must supply but if 2T pump is supplying a tiny dosage of oil enough for the piston to burn while its been forcing to 12000 time per minute? If premix,2T is mix with petrol and how much petrol flow to piston theres always enough 2t to smooth the piston flow but the disadvantages is you have to know the correct mixer in order to get better acceleration..

For me now I premix my bike and I down my main jet to 152 still, m3njEng fly without wing.. just my 20 cent!

well i would suggest that you try to get the parts yourself and get it replaced by Ah Seng... cos i had the same problem as yours and well i spent nearly $500... well was a noob at that point of time and kenna chop.... and paid the so called "admission fee"....

 

costly way of learning my lesson..... there is an easier way to solve it on a temporary note.... if are keen to learn that is....Too many "gurus" around..... winks...
