Hi guys, I've just gotten a 2008 rs125 recently. Hope to learn more regarding this bike from u guys.

Btw, anyone has experience of de-restricting his/her RS?!

What must be done and roughly how could would it cost?!

Hey mate. Welcome to the forum.

 

I had an 08 bike that I de-restricted. What I did was:

 

1. Exhaust: Full Arrow exhaust with titanium end-can - S$750 inc installation and registration

 

2. Carb: Used Dell'Orto 34mm carburettor - S$250 inc installation

 

3. CDI: Get Ah Seng from 37 Motoring to cut the relevant part of the CDI to remove emissions restriction - No charge. Done with powervalve installation.

 

4. Powervalve: OEM powervalve from a fellow SBF Aprilian liquidy - S$150

 

5. Solenoid/Cable for Powervalve: Secondhand from liquidy - S$130 IIRC + S$40 installation IIRC

Firstly welcome bro.. congrats on your new ride..can't advice much as I myself just got an rs. But I'd say get everything working fine first like getting it checked..ur valve ur tires and all sort..then go into e modifications..

Frm my knowledge...it's to change e pipe..reed..carb..and lastly probably e cdi..

aiya .... dun nid waste so much time on destricting.... few things and u are good enuf already ... get a min 34mm carb( can find liquidity he selling) .. change to any after market belly or full system. importantly get ur tuning right can liao.... enuf to whack 160-170km liao on stock sprocket. for machine that already has powervalve .

 

but if u wan more than maybe can port ur block, go premix, go E pump, use a 41mm carb, v-force, change block head, CDI..... not really require unless u got spare cash n time...

 

if u want to feel the big jump in performance in ur first mod maybe i can say its the carb.. the rest u wont really feel much ...
