HI! im still having a stock rs125. i haven change a single **** yet.the only change i made is to change to arrow pipe... im so jealous to seen few bikes with racing footrest etc? where can i get bike shop tht i specialise in RS125 in terms of maintenance too.

Like you've said, until the temp hit 3 bars everything is normal. You should always warm up your bike before moving off. another way, rev a little before going to gear 1, helps alot.

the darn restriction or whatever it is called, is making me upset.

i got to get to rpm6 before the power comes.

that's nuts. am i able to remove this barrier?

is this controlled by cdi chip or something?

where can it be done at?

I have questions regarding the before 06' model of RS125 and Tuono 125, as i am very keen on purchasing either one.

 

1. Whats the FC like?

 

2. Rough gauge of monthly maintenance costs.

 

3. Insurance for these 2 bikes. (around how much) p-plate 20 yrs old.

 

Is it worth to get either one of these 2 bikes? Do feel free to give me ur 2 cts worth! Thanks.

rs 125 is a high ref bike. that isnt a restiction it is just like tht. after u get through tht rpm 6 is normal. basicllay for me to overcome tht i half clutch all the way till rpm 6. then u will have a smooth start.

I think your power valve is stuck open,does this always happend since you get your bike? But if PV is stuck you should have no power below 8000rpm

i believe yours is euro 3 model..no power valve.. u need to drill hole on your cdi & install a power valve set..then ur rev will be smooth even below 6k rpm. check google with regard to euro 3 derestriction guide. This can be done at 37 Motoring or Sporting Motors.

Hi @somebodysme, firstly welcome to the Aprilia family.. I'm sure you won't regret getting Aprilia as your first bike.. Just like me, 3 years ago.. It doesn't fail to bring a smile to my face everytime I ride it, even till today.. Plus, yours is a 4-stroke so I'm pretty sure it's more reliable..
