ok ..you are on for it...i will check out the price for you...frankly...its too comedy to put in aprilia.....or any sports bike....seems like it will destroy the sporty looks ..its just my personal coms...if you really like it...nobody can stop you.....cheers!!! :thumb:

Hey guys, I finally got my bike back from the workshop again...... Apparently I've got this problem with my carb - it tends to flood...... and my water gets into my fuel tank. damn depressing to hear of such problems...... and my valve broke!

 

So, anyone got good solutions to these problems?

 

Btw, I've heard about the Aluminum valve, any idea where I can get it?

 

lastly, anyone got advice on changing the Milo exhaust? Is it recommendable?

Guys need a small help from you all...i am looking to buy an aprillia RS125. In fact i have already fixed on one bike (98 model)...but the problem is when i called the insurance companies, no one is ready to insure the rs125..No one is even quoting an amount they simply reject!!! NTUC quoted 3rd party as 600SGD...I dont understand y they dont insure. Could you guys help me on this. Any idea who can do it..Know of any bike shops can do it for me...

 

About me: I am a PR here working for an Oil major as a Oil Trader...Was driving previously in another country but converted to SG license one month back...

bike shops dun usually have the capacity to insure u...

n even if they do... its not reaLLy trust worthy... i doubt they would cover anything much...

600? expensive... but iF thats the only choice u have we cannot really choose can we?

my 125 4 yrs ago was a grand...

Well the confusing part here is i met one mech at a shop at mayo street ( If i spell it correct) he told me that he can insure the bike (3rd party) at Mitsui insurance..But when i called mitsui they say they dont do Rs125 and RS250..

 

will call up ideal motors tomorrow and see wether they can do it for me..if they cant the only option is to drop the bike..as paying 600 dollars for a 1000+ dollar bike with 2 year coe to go is not worth ...my personal feeling though...

is 600 bux too much for u ? this is the going price of insurance for aprilia. insurance for this bike is expensive for u probably because of ur license. u need to check on the reason for the high premium. at my age, the premium is only 450 but thats because my license is 6 yrs and i also have class 2 and 3 category license.

Thanks a lot Servo...i dont know much abt insurance scene here..but when i checked with my collegues riding other sports bikes they were quoting me 300+ for 3rd party,fire and theft. This 600 which NTUC quoted me was for 3rd party alone..so i thought it was way high..for fire and theft they were quoting 900SGD.

 

I used to ride aprillias in UK nd there it was arnd 400 pounds but the bike MV was abt 4000 pounds...So it made sense...

i really think the reason is due to ur age of ur license. here they do not take into account the duration u had ur foreign license as it is difficult to justify. ur quote for the insurance would be almost as similar to that of a person who just got his license at age 18 or 19, fresh with "little" riding experience.
