From now on, if someone posts a problem here, the moderators over at the ARC forum create a topic on that side.. in the correct section of course.. and the solutions be posted there as well.. eyz, gonggong are still around to help to do tat.. You can get Chris to add u as a moderator so you can help as well.. Servo has disappeared.. so we cant get him.. it will be tedious, but i hope the rest will help by trying to post their problems on both sides.. and contribute the solutions as well..

 

I really want this club thing to work.. honestly we are really quite split up.. Nothing wrong with hanging around with people whom you can gel with, but we have yet to have an AGM up til now.. The whole ARC has yet to meet.. Hopefully, this Sat, we can have a big turnout.. that will be a starting point..

its quite simple, and should not involve so much work on the moderators' part of cutting and pasting:

 

could we all simply just more the discussion there?

 

the major posters - you, for example, and others, should all agree to move the discussion there, and refuse to post any significant new topics here.

 

when newbies post, then all you have to do is to remind people gently that there is a better forum there for them to post in.

 

 

Look at it this way - the SBF forum is like a big sandbox where people are divided into different sectors. We have been given the smallest possible piece of the sandbox to play with (a sticky topic - heck, even the phantom knights has their own section), and it has been contaminated with all sorts of things; good stuff has been buried beneath sand and has started to rot. Too many people squeezed into one small space, not everybody has enough room to play in.

 

Now someone has opened up an entire new sandbox, just for us. a massive enlargement of the sandbox.

 

what the heck are we still doing here?

 

So, if you've noticed, i have stopped posting anything significant (except these stuff) and moved my questions to ARC. (nobody's answering though ) I strongly feel that people should start moving there.

Brother, unless you qualified mechanic and you opened up your bike to check, pls dont say that...

 

You never know what is wrong until you open up and i see.. And i what i meant was that the labour cost alone for fitting in your gearbox is the same as doing an overhaul coz it involves downing the engine.. Therefore, what i would recommend is to get everything checked out and replac watever is necessary.. You're already paying 180 for the labour, why not settle everything too?

 

Worst come to worst, do up your bike, and leave there.. Pay after you got the full amount..

 

Like i said before, riding your bike when got problem, sure will bring out more problems..

the other time i went up alone on fri..

Sorry guys, my com burn on the second day i get my bike. I have to use a friend com to post this. For those who wants to find me, pls call me at 90214262. Any Aprilians can call me.

 

I bought my bike from MAH n machine price is 7.4k for a 20mths 03bike. I fell that I should post my encounter with MAH. I got my bike with a one mth warranty. A day after i got it, i noticed that the top was onli 130km/h so i went back to Mah n the reply I got was "raining, cannot test bike" so i was pissed off n went to FM to do something about it. Sam did up mine n it was due to a valve jammed. I returned to Mah next day thinking of fixing a mulfunction rear brake light. They changed the fluid n a evc brake pads n did the switch up for me instead n i was really happy then. Mrs Mah actually talked to me n i told her my encounter with the valve n i actually showed her FM receipt. She was angry that the lower management aftersales was so bad n well, the mechs got screwed by both Mr n mrs MAH. So in the end I was given an appointment to re-do up my 2nd hand bike. So guess what I got.... a CDI replacement, a RPM meter replacement, 3mechs tuning my Aprilia, a new DID O'ring chain, etc..... I m a happy man after that since Wed.... Vik n a few others can be my witness. I post this so as to be fare to MAH who gave me this good aftersales service. Yes I bought the bike at a higher price than most other shops but look.... my bike has a warranty.....!! Most of my parts are really good now... I manage to top 170 with Sam's tuning n 180 with Mah excessive tunings. Both are almost as good... I have to say. But to buy from who is still ur choice. I havent any regrets buying my bike from Mah at all.

Since the hour I took my bike out, it has been raining tilll now. I using battleX so wet is still ok xcept that my carb keeps having water inside.... scared liao... wet, no riding....

Vik have 120 points so no need to worry speed limits. I have onli 12 points. Since day 1 I got my bike n met him, I have yet to go below red line with him around.... HELL rider has been born.... I think I need a bigger cc bike to catch u with him. N fellow riders, ride safely n try to stay within speed limits. I just got my lic n dont think I want to loose it so soon.

oh man damn sad... went to 1st motor, did a general servicing & had verified dat my exhaust valve, exhaust system, carb & it's settings plus the compression of the piston are in gd condition. and since it's raining the mech wasn't able to test ride my bike & he mentioned it's gonna take sometime to verify wads wrong with my bike, since most of the external components are checked.

haiz. and he was juz as puzzled as me on why my bike cant rev up high(reving in neutral). guess gonna wait some weeks after cny to do a overhaul liao. :cry:

Vik, Wacko was right not necessary Friday will be crowded. For weekdays it really depend on your luck but so far mostly it's quite Ok la not much people. But for weekend and track days it’s definitely very crowded which nowadays I try not to go. Too much big bike liao. All 600CC and 1000CC one
