hey guys.. italian meetup 2006.. remember last yr when we gathered at kkfc for photo-taking session etc? hopefully this year everyone's willing to make time for this meetup and that the turnout will be better than last yr's.. gathering aprilians, mitos and neo's helping me get the dukes.. we've got many new faces and this meetup hopefully will allow us to get to know some new frens and take updated photos of our italian beauties =)

dear friends... i'm thinking of selling my 125... with a fresh paint job of the buyers choice... wat do u guys think is a good price to let it go at? btw its an fs plate...

vik: saw your bike at FM today (was passing by). i know there is sentimental value in the bike and all, but you should consider carefully if you want to ride a bike whose frame (which is made of aluminium) has had its structural integrity compromised.

 

Aluminium is not a metal that takes well to fatigue, and does not display signs of stress before final catastrophic failure. e.g. take a (steel) paper clip, bend and unbend it. after some time, the stressed region will deform, stretch, and show signs of stress. try the same with alu, it will not deform well, but will suddenly break without warning.

 

Ultimately it is your bike, and your life. So, you decide.

Hey mike.. I understand what you're saying.. I feel very strongly for my bike.. but i know that i care abt safety as well..

 

Ah Seng told me so far he see the bike as still ridable but need to rebuilt the front.. I am sorta prepared for the worst if he tells me that the frame is compromised.. Anyway, like i said, i wasnt going fast at all and my tire took most of the impact. if the bike is still ridable, i will ride it. If not, tat is it for Aprilias for me.. Simple as that..

Yo dude.. It all depends on what condition the bike is.. paintjob means nuts if the bike is crappy inside ya? good luck for ur sale!
