Aprilia by stock for the 03 n above are already fast enough. TRUST ME. However much standard mod u do, it will just be that little bit faster from 0-170. A better idea is to play with sprocket.

17 x 39 for track n road (6th gear 12krpm at 170km/h).

17 x 38 for Top speeds (6th gear 12k rpm at 180km/h).

17 x 40 for stock bikes = quite good pick-up n mid range but not much top speed.

*** These results are got from my own trial n errors on a stock size (520) chain.

JUst change to a 34mm carb, get it tuned properly, if u riding 03 n above n u should get a more powerful acceleration n reasonable top speed.

28mm carb fuel consumption is about 27-30km/l on the road, 18-20km/l on track.

34mm carb fuel consumption is about 20-26km/l on the road, 15-20km/l on track.

** once u open the valve at 8.25k rpm, fuel consumption is a lot higher than anything below that rpm.

Tyres, try to use Dunlop GPR70 at least. 110/70 front, 140/60 rear. Use even better tyres like pirelli, michellin, etc if u want.

Chain, use "o" ring type if u hate to tighten ur chain regularly. But do bear in mind to lube your chain regularly to minimise chain wear n tear even if u are using the best brands.

Tyre pressure I use for track is 190 front(110/70), 200 Rear(140/60), for GPR70 tyres. Road, I use 210 front, 230 rear - if have pillion. Without pilion, 200 front, 210 rear. But tyre pressure will be different if ur body weight is lighter or heavier than me. I am 55kgs.

Change gear oil every 2000km. Clean spark plug when u service ur valve. Service of valve depends on individuals. I did DIY n so every 1000km I would service it once. Carb cleaning can be done every 3/4 mths if u are broke or lazy like me.

Other mods, do it at your own risk. This post is based on my bike performance n what I understand from it. It might not be the same for ur RS125 but it should be close.

how can it be close hahahhahahaha

What jets are you using in your 28mm carb? How did you get your power valve to open at 7k rpm? Why would you want it to open at that speed? What kind of floating brake disc are you using? Did you verify your actual speed in any way by using digital speedo / GPS / other bikes pacing you?

waa... aprilia fuel consumption so gd wor... for mine, my mileage on my digital speedo is ard 16km/l on cruising speed of ard 100km/h on xway to work & back, wit the valve juz started to open on gear 6(i had the shift light to indicate valve opening at 7250rpm).

clearing meter to kulai and perling, opened throttle till the point where the power is limited, ard 4/5 to wot, on speeds of 130+km/h gave me 14km/l. and my main jet's was too lean somemore! wonder how my fc would be if the main jet's correct size!

now swap from 155 to 165, gonna test out top response at 2nd link later to see if it's still too lean...:bouncefire:

anybody got 170 & 175 main jet for mikuni tm series carb?:help:

T-shirt sample

Material: Dri-Fit

Type: Polo Collar

Front

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v260/lacrimosae/Printing/modelfrontaprilia.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v260/lacrimosae/Printing/modelbackaprilia.jpg

The prices:

Basic:

Shirt + Logo (front + back + Sleeve) = $23

Total min price for the T-shirt will be $23

Additional:

Name (can choose whether you want it to be at left/ right collar / at the back or in the front) = +$2 (Choose one postion only)

Reflective Sleeve = +$3

Reflective name = +$2

Reflective Front logo = +$3

For long sleeve t-shirt, it is available only in cotton material. Deduct $4 from your grand total. So if you want a long-sleeved t-shirt with name, it will be:

$23 (basic) + $2 (name) - $4 = $21

As for the Dri-Fit polo short-sleeved at a basic $23, I guarantee this is the cheapest you can find in Singapore.

The price is usually much more for other groups, including car clubs, etc. This price is only for our Italian fan clubs.

Will bring the sample t-shirts for you guys to try out the sizing.

But for the actual t-shirts, this supplier only accepts COD payment, not credit. So that's why must collect payment first.

im not trying to be rude!!

coz that base on ur experience..

:

the brake hoses i have up for sale are from HEL.

made for rs250 all years but of which its lenght is suitable for rs125 all years.

its in relatively good condition. come view if u doubt it. may have used the wrong word "mint". 130SGD firm.

but if anyone is looking for a quality braided hose, can look for me. dont complain when u find out the actual price from vector. vector just raised their prices for their hoses and dont ask me how i know. truth hurts but bernard from vector will be more than accomodating to explain.

degrading comments not welcomed. enquiries to be done via pm.

SubZero : If U interested, let me know. I already have venhills so this set is a spare.

AZ : I think the only way is to provide each other's cdi unit reference number and tally it to a table from AP Italy. That will confirm and defray all suspicions and allegations. Sometimes plain simple facts can explain situations. This info will help others to understand why their bike behaves in such a way unlike other AP bikes in other parts of the world.

Dannis : After doing so much mods, maybe you can advise those performance enhanced freaks on some basic minot tunings that can be done on a stock bike to make a better ride. Im sure throughout your mod testings, you may have found out what works for your bike and what does not. Do share it with us cos Im sure it would help those interested in a guided path and not let them burn a hole in their pockets for nothing.

jonathan : Careful bro. U dun wana experience being left stranded in JB with a hole in your piston, etc etc. Be on the safe side. Im abit confused as to what kind of performance mileage are you after. Perhaps you can enlighten us. Seems to me you are quite happy with what U are getting. But in any case, glad you love your bike.

hey hope this is the right place to ask, i'm a relatively new female aprilia rider since feb and know pretty much very little about bikes, ofcourse i need to pick up things fast. My bike is a second hand about 6 yrs.

Recently i'v heard these noises every time i clutch in and hold it and free wheel. It sounds like somethings loose and someone mentioned that theres a piece of rubber in the gear plates and it's probably worn out AND for an aprilia rs125 its gonna cost me hundreds of dollars, is thattrue. i know its not the cheapest bike to maintain. need some advice and maybe some rough price quotes. It's relaly sh*t being female riding plus i'm afriad i'm being ripped off cuz i'm half 'ang mo'...hmm help???

hi erial, welcome.

thou i dunno how does the noise sounds like.. but from the scenario when the noise occurs, it seems like the clutch basket is giving ya problem..

i dunno how much a new clutch basket wud cost, but i bet it's not cheap.. alternatively ya can try ya luck on some 2nd hand parts which wud definitely be cheaper..

as for afraid of being ripped off... hmm hey guys, anyone of ya willing to bring this lady down to a reputable bikeshop to do up her bike??

Wow! Female Aprilia riders are a rare breed indeed...

I think i know the problem tat u are talking about.. IF i'm not wrong, when you are in neutral, and you clutch in, the sound will be different from leaving the cltuch out. This is a good way to check.

It's something to do with the clutch plates i think. At the most 200 bucks to fix it at First Motor...

Why dont you head on over to the Aprilia Riders Club forum to post ur problem and get more expert advice?
