I know I'm mean but who ask you to be hand itch ........hahaha :nono:

Alan,

You said hand itch atleast 3 times liao!! I think Ben gets the point!!!

But Ben, thing is, you're riding a cbr150 now.. Not an Aprilia!! So get tat straight!

Maybe removing the snorkel on our Aprilias is ok, but you shouldnt have messed about on a bike that you dont really know well enough about!

Really hope it's nothing serious bro.. Update us on how it is ok!

macan : get advice from idac like i told u many times. u ask here u ask there it will only make u even more confuse. shop say cant claim this or that, then verify with insurance on what is ur liability. what are your rights as a paying customer. all these answers can be obtained from idac and rightfully ntuc insurance.

no need to go all around the world to keep on asking the same qns when there is an OFFICIAL avenue to make them in the first place.

go and get the official procedure. too many answers provide too many options but with a mindset so troubled, do u think u can make a better decision than anyone of us here not in your same situation, i do not think so. SO U DECIDE YOUR OWN COURSE OF ACTION.

OF COURSE there is the unorthodox way of doing things which some shops practise. desperate people do desperate things without thinking at time and fall into this trap. u r not in the wrong so y bother yourself with all these costs. u say u want to claim then claim all out till the one who langgar u wished he didnt langgar u.

but if u, like some people i know just wants to keep it simple and just want the bike to be normal again, either u fork out your own money first or wait for ntuc to give u an official reply. if shops do not meet idac's recommendation whatsoever, a complaint can be made or an enquiry can be made to investigate the claim.

YOUR BIKE, YOUR MONEY, YOUR CHOICE, YOUR MINDSET....

ahakz yes and thks a zillion to my big borhter mr servoprax...its just tat i am still worried about the bike...been calling idac and they say bike shop must repair according to the report which states all the damages. i am ok if my bike has minimal damages but i am unhappy when he says he can only spary back but if spray whole bike must top up...i dont mind spending a bit more for a better job done......just wanan claim the damages and get the bike back so i can chg the stuff tat i wanan chg ..then if i trade in my 250 then it wont be so bad rite

since u say that bike shop cant do this and that, ask them y and ask them to justify their clause. if its so difficult, let the proper people in mah know of your situation. its a simple and small claim situation not some big thing or maybe that the reason afterall. right now we are just assuming.

but i want u to get your facts right first before we make the parties involve sit over coffee with us. do all the necessary homework first...

IF ITS REALLY SO DAMN DIFFICULT, ANGKAT KAKI ngan MOTO BELAH ( bring your business to others who are more willing to do it for you. After that we will write in a letter as an official complaint on service standards plus an explanation on y such things can happen.)

Would anyone be interested in my tatty RS250?

I'm looking at a figure of $1200 for her, condition as is. She needs alot of work and i'm coming to a crossroads where i'll have decide between spending money to do her up or putting the money aside for my dream italian superbike (doing both would be be too much of a strain on my finances and i'm not that big a fan of maggi mee).

This is not really a for-sale ad, more of just an enquiry if anyone here is willing to give her a good home and some TLC.

PM me if you want more details about her.

A jammed valve shouldn't prevent an RS125 engine from revving past 8k rpm.

really? i thot it would.. den wat can the problem be? coz i tink we shld help chris out.. his bike is really smooth..

The most likely reason is always carburetion, especially if the bike feels smooth - that's a symptom of richness. You'll be surprised how many people haven't been able to rev past 8k rpm, especially in 1st gear. Few people are running correct carburetion.

He can easily see if this is the case by engaging the choke a bit, and then seeing if this helps performance or further hinders it. If performance is lagi lousy, then he's rich, and vice versa. Then, he can adjust his idle/mixture screw and see if he can improve performance from there.

As usual, don't try any of this if you don't know what you are doing, and I take no responsibility for engine damage. I am not recommending blind experimentation. When in doubt, visit a mechanic. Good luck, and feel free to contact me for clarification.

By the way, it's very straightforward to see if his valve's jammed or not. Try taking it out, or ask a mechanic to take it out.

Ya Chris is right.

My bike experienced the exact same thing last time.

I didnt tinkle with anything though.

Just rode down to Seng, he tweaked my carburetor and changed some jetting pin thingy.

After that the problem is solved.

Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed yourself that night.

Wasn't feeling very well and the next day was out flat.

Doctor says will take about 2 weeks to recover, and I have been lying in bed since Tuesday. Did not eat anything for 2 days and lost several kg I bet. Damn...

Anyway, feeling slightly better now, and able to walk around and read my book etc. Havent gone out of home for several days though...sigh...miss riding.

ANyway, you guys enjoy the weekend...

See ya soon!

The secret of success is knowing whom to blame for your failure.
