hmmm....... aiyoh... its an old bike lar.... nutin much

actually wanted to get the 03 rs250....... but then did not cos didnt want to burden myself with another 4 yrs of 300bux installments. need to save up for school and other expenditure.

just an advice to all, keep to the speed limit of the roads even if it ridiculously says 50km/h. seen enuf mobile cameras lately on the roads. would not want our normal speed of riding / crusing to get us into unwanted trouble. think im gona really ride my wave on weekdays and leave my other bike for trackdays.

performance bikes need to be ride hard but not in sg. not worth it. too much at stake. money etc.

also, be wary of the changing speed limits on the expressway cos one moment it will say 90, the next might say 80 or even 70. so do keep a look out. dark areas on expressways is also another point to take note. there might be bmw, tp parking by the shoulder lane using the speed cam to nab speedsters. saw one last nite.

You're a bad boy.

Baaaad, bad boy.

Anyway i tink only 5 bikes can share so that we haf some backup in case someone drinks his share by mistake :)

for sale :

rotax 122 clutch basket - very low wear, see to believe!

25 piece cdr - brand new $8

17" monitor - flickers when cold $10

castrol chain wax & chain spray - still a lot left $5

thought 1 bottle of waterwetter can treat 18 litres ?

1 bike requires 0.8 litres (from the manual)

so 18/0.8 = 22.5

minus a bit for spillage or those who are thirsty as fibre mentioned haha

maybe got 20

divide by 2

cos 1 person = 1 portion for bike + 1 portion keep at home to top up when necessary

still got enuff for 10 bikes

think ur setting is off......... get it redone... think ur main jet too big for a stock pipe. cant remember wats my previous jet. check with boon.

mods + milo mod + pillion + mobil 95 / 5000 + occasional blasts = 230 - 240km before hitting reserve.

Messiah, jettings do affect your consumption, however, your style of riding is also an important factor. Different acceleration n cruising rates can produce different results of up to 3km / litre. Its completely normal to get 180km reserve, I believe servo's bike is slightly on the lean side, which is compensated by an increased 2T intake

Chengxi, how does the throttle feel like? If it is unreactive and feels more powerful during the night, your main jet / jet position / both might be too rich.

For a start, check if your needle's clip is in the top most position. When I first got my bike, it was at the third position n I had similar mileage to yours. Set yours to the top position n u will feel the diff. If you live near sengkang you can pm me, i'll see wat i can do:)

One more thing, other things may also affect ur mileage

-Faulty float valve

-Damaged jet / needle

-Severely clogged air filter

-Leaking fuel tank / fuel line

Last but not least, heavy pillion :p

How to check?

The problem is not you can afford it or not, is how are you going to make yourself able to afford it.
