how much run off area is enough? i had my fell at sepang turn 3 run off area(huge) and went right to the end, bang into metal wall, and my 160kg r6 airborned and landed on me...but i am lucky enough to share this now. do we need a runway?

a death could have been prevented if there was more run off area OR if the rider hadnt looked behind.

a year earlier, a death could have been prevented if a rider hadnt done a stupid stoppie at a finishing line.

as much as safety at venues can be improved, as much as experienced riders guiding younger riders how to improve their corners and lines, pls also teach and emphasise track safety as much as possible. lets not keep learning from someones death.

:dot::dot::dot: I m very sure the organiser's will emphasise on this issue in all other upcoming races held there

I don blame the track totally but management can look at better trained track marshall on how to respond in case of crash, backmarkers or blacklist dangerous riders..etc.

Provide safety briefing..eg like how SAF will have Safety Officer brief their men before any exercise or training..

I was rite beside him(Feroz) when the medical team respone to him...

Totally UNprofessional,Not sure if those medics are Trained,Qualified or Certified...

They did have the equipment for resuscitation but equipment is juz for show...apparently its not working..If they know its faulty why never change it?

They apply CPR also not very convincing as if they gonna save somebody..

The ambulance that evacuate casulty have non-function Blinker & Siren..!!!How to make a quick route to the hospital if they're still travelling @ 80-90km/h??

Got Ambulance on-site,got Medic, but why not have a doctor on-site???Doctors can prescribe pain-killers,probably have a more in-depth knowledge wat treatment to pin-point at...

I crashed in 07 at Sepang turn 14..to my surprised they had a Doctor at that particular turn...they will access u & radio the clinic wat medical attention to take.

Basically i find that the initial few minute of medical attention is critical as those action could save LIVES..

Still if have equipment if not trained to used also no-point..

I've personally known him since his KTM days, then to RVF, R1 and current ride (more or less 7 or 8 years). I may not be his best of friends, but I can say that you lot are the gems of his life since his interest in racing began. So on behalf of the late, his family, and the gf Siti Nur, I thank you guys for always being there for him. Doc Dol & Team Loois, Osman (laughter buddy), Ammie, Lisan and Rein (for making the burial process smooth; I salute you guys) and the lot of you who turned up for his farewell. Even Kuwahara took the time off to drop by. It's quite an honourable moment for him, I'm sure. Peace out...

In Macau they race superbike without any run off area or even tires

not all rider can ride on street circuit..those with extra balls will do it! eg michael rutter, john mcguiness...thats why macau street circuit is meant for pros, can't compared their track with ours, organiser of the event in macau are well organise and also well equip with well trained medical support staff to prepared for any unwanted incident.... run off area for my opinion its a must in a track be it a small track or big track....

dis is just my 66cent correct me if im wrong....

And that is why Macau is not, and never will be, an FIM-sanctioned event.

Yes, motor racing is dangerous. Does this mean we should throw all caution to the wind and refuse our racers even a minimum of safety standards and back-up medical support that actually works and is not just "for show"? This is what you are saying.

Feroz is my aunt's neighbour and we've met a couple of times before. We used to ride the same bike (R1) and used to share ideas on modding and beautifying our rides as well as racing and long distant rides. Although I may not be 1 of his close frens, we get along pretty well. He's a humble and great to chit-chat kinda fren to be with.

I'm utterly disappointed with myself for not being able to visit him in the hospital, as well as his funeral even for the last time as I'm serving my god damn reservist.

Wherever you are now bro, may god bless you and rest in peace Feroz!
