IU unit 2nd hand where best place to get

Just went down to Vicom just now and found out my IU expired rdy and gotta get a new one but brand new one is $155 Anyone know which shop sells decent 2nd hand ones and price? Installation etc included?

You can ask bike shop weather they have second hand IU unit... I heard it from my friend said around $70...

Yeah accordingly cannot use.. At first i thought my IU unit no display because of the fuse or circuit loose or something. Went down to vicom, fella said ur unit way expired must change new one. Then i lan lan got no choice.

Frankly, i think it's better if you get the first hand IU cause it comes with a 5 year warranty and free installation. It costs around 150+ bucks.

Ya the new ones are the slim ones. Compatible with the latest EZ link cards too. Pretty nifty if you ask me.

if u really buyin 2nd hand, i dunno how u gonna make sure, plus pls make sure it is taken down from a de-registered bike... if not, u cant register it to ur bike..

I think he meant that his IU faulty.. went to Vicom to check.. then checked that it is faulty but warranty is over.. therefore he have to purchase a new one..

normally these is the case. iu where got expiry? never heard off.

I juz encountered IU fault couple of days before.. I already inserted my cashcard with no problems but after passing thru the CONSEQUTIVE 2 ERP Gantries at CTE both times also ERR...

 

LTA juz sent me a letter indicating dat its my cash card faulty.. But my cash card is really not faulty.. Its still good to go type.. I tried with other IUs all no problem leh.. And LTA's stand is I do not have to go for inspection, but juz have to change cash card..

 

Anybody can advice?? Mine is the old IU, I still thought good liao, still under warranty yet spoilt, can go down change the new one...

They tell you faulty already just try changing it la. If still cannot then your IU is the issue.

bukit merah there got one ah pek his shop will do second hand iu unit for u $65 include installation, forget the shop name coz went once onli during 2008.

Confirm is my IU problem.. I tried inserting my cashcard to other IUs all no problem. But my IU also not really dat faulty. Can say insert 10x, maybe once or twice will have error.. Sometimes maybe even all 10x no problem.. Juz dat I suspect after riding vibrations the IU abit problematic...

 

This type of case can go Vicom fix the latest IU for free under warranty?
