lol, true. anw how to keep the plastic black penal shine again?

i was scratching my head wondering what black "penal" ... spelling is... errr... pen**

then... oic

can try tyre shine or detailers like the maxima SC1 or turtle black detailer, etc.

I using Armor All Protectant Gel... won't make it SHINE like new, but does an OK job and most importantly for me, no sticky/oily residue.

Some information on Rear Suspension.

There were changes from previous batches of Silverwing.

The older one was harder compared to the SW-T, therefore different part number. No wonder the manual says stock setting is 2... because they had followed the old suspension.

I'm using the MCT version now with a setting of 1. My original SW-T setting was usually at 4.

Finally pick up my baby after 2 months of wait...despite a major hiccup. Ordered red but arrived black. Told to wait another 2 months if I insisted on red. WT@ settled for black coz could not wait another 2 months. First review of the bike? Simply awesome....Engine was quiet and no 'pop pop' sound coming from the exhaust (previous ride was maxsym 400i). Handling simply great for me and managed to rest both feet flat on the ground when bike was stationary (used to only rest my toes..). Cant wait to engine break coz travelling at 60km/h needs lots of patience (kena horn by simen mixer despite travelling 3rd lane..) Bike can travel 80km/h or below 5000rpm during 1st 1000km rite?

MCT is the Code for the parts.

Generally, all Silverwings use parts with MCT code.

For changes specifically for FJS400 before 2008, then the code is MEF.

Parts that were improved for SW-T uses code MFT.

As for Front Fork Spring, I was hoping for 5k or last. hehe.

Ah chong from planet is my favourite mech. All my bikes, he service. But now scooter, he tell me dun go there. Simply because of fairing removal. So bo pian, go ac motors but i heard ac motors is really good. Next time i will go when need to change belt n stuff.

guys, there are 2 ah chongs'.. one is AC Motors at kaki bukit, the other is Planet Motors. AC Motors specialize in scooters i think, planet is everything else.. haha

Ooo. now I understand. LOL! I like planet ah choong, really honest guy. Anw I just had a problem. I took over my friend's kymco grand dink as he din ride for freaking long. so I was topping up the EO but don't understand it's dip stick. so initially it was dry, so I was like FREAK EO dried up. So I top it up, however I top it way above limit accidentally.

After driving from AMK to ubi, I stop my bike there was a water leak, I touch it and smell. No coolant or engine oil. then I wanted to go back to AMK, 1min into ride, the whole bike not moving as smooth and slowed down. so I rolled for awhile to Planet's Ah choong. but sunday not open, so I reckon it's the EO. so I open the cap.

LOL! then I forgot to cap it, try to move off to a parking lot, the EO flew out from the engine. and then my bike is okay now.

My question is, what water leakage is that?

okay. I just found my own answer, I overfilled the engine, causes too much pressure and the power get knock out. sigh. seems like I damage part of the engine like that. however, on a good note. I did not drive above 60 thru out my 15mins ride. manage to solve the problem by spilling the EO. :X lesson learnt.

a lot depends on how much you are willing to pay

RAM have a Pro-series waterproof case that fits the iP5...

can buy from direct from RAM or amazon, gpscity, etc.

http://www.rammount.com/Portals/0/Skins/NationalProducts/images/ramb149zaq71.jpg

alternatively, you may wanna consider investing on the RAM X-Grip instead, more versatile imo.

with the x-grip, you have a wide variety of water proof/resistent choices to keep water out

lots of choices... such as

prob more waterproof and "fitting" than ziplock bags ba. rem to wash off the lub/flavors and make sure dun use used ones... whahahaha

scared picha? got "extra safe" types :p

other than water tight integrity, the next 2 important considerations when investing in a gadget (phone/GPS) mount should be "how secure is the mount?" and "mount where?" :)

secure means:

+ won't drop off when bike runs over humps, potholes or uneven surfaces

+ can hold gadget in desired/intended position (viewing angle) without "slipping" down

unlike road or cruisers, most parts of the SW's dashboard & handlebar are covered by tupperware. i.e. we are left with limited strong points to for mounting cradles/gadgets; FJS has more mounting options than SWT :p

the biologic mounts uses "friction" mounts which, imo, are not as secure as what the RAM mounts can offer.

but more importantly, where can you mount it on the SW? our handlebar is not exposed :D

personally, i would recommend the older but more secure RAM Medium Aqua Box

AQUA BOX® (Medium) Internal Dimensions:

Width=2.88", Height=5.75", Depth=1.188"

iPhone 5 dimensions:

height is 4.87 inches (123.8 mm); the width is 2.31 inches (58.6 mm); the depth is 0.30 inches (7.6 mm)
