Hi Scooby, the point that u mentioned:

1. the bike is heavy and handling needs more tact i don quite understand but i suppose u mean need more reaction time?

2.And how does the hyperpro fork spring improve handling eg: make the front lighter? Im not very tech inclined so kinda need a layman term explanation. Can provide me something brief for a tech-tard? Whats the cost of the fork spring on an average?

3. Btw is the Engine Brake heavy for S.Wing? I tried S4 and the engine brake quite ok.

4. I read some posts about servicing and aside from the regular E.O / Oil Filter change, is the belt roller uclip things that i have to only bother about? battery + rectifier stuffs should be able to last pretty long without much attention right?

5. Is there anything on the S.Wing thats very thief-friendly? Like the S4 suspensions that resembles naked megan fox where peeps like to touch during the wee hours.

1. Bike slightly longer and much heavier than S4, so pushing, cornering, u-turning, etc need practice.

2. Hyperpro will stiffen the forks and improve handling/cornering. The stock fork spring a bit soft. Cost abt $240.

3. Engine brake... very minimal.

4. Belt & rollers can change around 30K++ km. That's about 1.5 years of travel for some ppl. Batt and rectifier are as other bikes.

5. So few SW... so not many ppl need to steal and replace.

SW9000 has answered but allow me to fill in with more data

Hi Scooby, the point that u mentioned:

1. the bike is heavy and handling needs more tact i don quite understand but i suppose u mean need more reaction time?

dry weight of S4 is about 170kg while SW is 228kg, a substantial difference of >50kg. with longer body and smaller wheels, SW's turning circle is larger and cannot kup corner like S4.

2.And how does the hyperpro fork spring improve handling eg: make the front lighter? Im not very tech inclined so kinda need a layman term explanation. Can provide me something brief for a tech-tard? Whats the cost of the fork spring on an average?

cost of the hyperpro is about $230 include installation at Motoworld, but needs to wait about few months for shipment to arrive

3. Btw is the Engine Brake heavy for S.Wing? I tried S4 and the engine brake quite ok.

engine brake is there, but may be reduced using aftermarket products such as PA2, VS, RevTec, etc

4. I read some posts about servicing and aside from the regular E.O / Oil Filter change, is the belt roller uclip things that i have to only bother about? battery + rectifier stuffs should be able to last pretty long without much attention right?

regular servicing involves mainly EO & filter change, cost depends on EO used and drain cycle. i change my EO/filter every 5k kms using motul 7100 10W40 ($22/L) and stock oil filter. is use cheaper EO and change about 7k kms, maintenance cost will be lower.

5. Is there anything on the S.Wing thats very thief-friendly? Like the S4 suspensions that resembles naked megan fox where peeps like to touch during the wee hours.

technically, many things can be removed easily using some basic tools. but there're aren't much cases since SW community still rather small here.QUOTE]

Do u guys grab spares from FJT then find mechanic or go to a certain shop as a one-stop servicing?

Hi all,

Is it true that both the air screws' stock positions are exactly 2 turns out from fully-closed positions? Can anyone confirm?

No no. All are different.

But it is a good starting point if you already messed up your readings...

If bike have problem reaching high speed, then might need to lower the turns a bit.

If bike sluggish at low end, chances are the fuel is too rich (can check spark plugs too)and should turn the screw out.

my 2 cents.

lai liow ha... how about K&N?

why not use both the hyperpro and K&N for betong so can enjoy the twists-m-turns better

just to temp u a little more... my reserve blinker came on this morning at 313.6km on odometer (think could be better if not for 2 mornings of traffic jams along PIE); this means i'm getting >25km/L again on current setting of 1.8T, still enjoying smooth accelerations from K&N :thumb:

btw, K & N service interval how long huh?

20k?

50k?

Website says 50k MILES.

Which means... 80km for normal roads or 50km for slight dirty roads.
