thanks bros, just got my swing last evening in advance.. shiok sia... rode to work today (at changi), feels really good. Wind protection is great and i love the storage! n also, its torque was pretty good. low end is probably better than my s4.. n smooth.

you won't regret buying a SW... shiok right

 

anyway, a final piece of advise to a new SWinger would be... be cautious when handling the SW at crawling speed or you may drop your beloved 250kg monster, especially when braking hard while turning acutely (e.g. negotiating bends at car parks); some SWingers kenna before. lucky thing is only the plastics and chrome exhaust cover gets scratched, no effect on engine.

unlike a normal bike where we can "tong gia" (or "bite" clutch), the SW's CVT clutch is disengaged at low revs. once the fat monster tilt to a certain angle, muscling it back upright becomes almost impossible, especially so with a pillion on it.

My left lever seems to be rear brake,but it feels much stronger and more modulation compared to my right lever one, which felt like the front brake.

 

however, the right lever feel rather stiff and I cant feel much modulation. it is normal, or it is time to rebleed? maybe can let u guys test it on thursday~

did you get the user manual from the previous owner or motortiam? if not, you should coz lots of maintenance info inside.

the SW comes with the Combined Braking System CBS (some models in Europe/US comes with CABS but not in Sg) which is connected to the left brake level.

when the left brake level is activated, CBS will activate both front and rear brake assemblies when the hydraulic pressure exceeds certain level (controlled by delay valves) instead of just the rear. it is designed to deliver more "braking" force on the rear than the front. in theory, CBS enhances braking performance, cuts down stopping distance and could help prevent skidding.

vibration izit? you may wanna check:

+ assemblies are firmly fitted to the fork and swing arm

+ joints are in good condition and bleeding nipple is fully closed

+ brake pads in good condition

+ brake disc not worn out

+ brake fluid is sufficient and not dirty

+ no bubbles in brake hydraulic system

some mechs said the SW's brake fluid can last for at least 2 years if nothing is damaged, so ublikely that your's is due for change unless you feel uncomfortable. my 06 bike is still using the stock fluid and going strong

thanks. will try my best to make it this thursday down. btw I am right now using maxima but its due for another change... so was thinking of changing that engine ice coolant...

 

Any idea how unique does the flushing for the coolant?

Neber notice any change in performance.

Anyway, SW runs best when very hot.

 

Try move off in the morning after warming up for 1 min and also try warming up till 2nd bar comes on.

Got difference.

Misses my IUH24D plugs.

I thought only I use IUH24D. You also very sensitive to the performance huh?

Think LAB still might have. If not he will recommend a shop at Rowell/Desker area (I forgot which shop) cos he got most of his plugs from there.

just curious... what tyre are you using?

 

actual name is "The Rail Mall"... its at Upper Bukit Timah road and NOT the KTM railway station at Tanjong Pagar. e.g. Coffee Bean there is 422 Upper Bukit Timah Road.
