Just came back from HK and I realised that there is not a lot of motorcycles but there is lots of scooter. totally a reversal from Singapore. Almost every roadside parking that I went by. I see scooters parking and it is those big type.

They also do not park on the kerbs as wel. or atleast that what I notice for the pass few days. very law abiding

They are not law abidding, just that the police man on the street is very on the ball.if u watch hong kong drama u will know.

When I was in hong kong, have seen riders waiting beside parked lot waiting for parking.

I didnt get that figure yet.....initially was getting 23km+/L till 150km..then i did EO(Mineral) change...now getting 27km+/L...total mileage only 300km+. Will feed back after Run in. Plan to change to semi-sync at 1000km and fully sync at 2000km...Is it ok?

Riding style is 80% expressway 20% city.

there're 2 places where we usually go for such servicing:

* K&T

* Kallang Cycle

more info available at post 78 of SW Tech Corner

shop directory http://www.singaporebikes.com/shopdirectory?ch=k

at 24k kms, you may not need to change the belt if condition is still good (some SWingers change after 30k+ kms). it is possible to arrange with shop to change belt later but still pay the "package" price; can keep belt with them or take home. belt change can be done when cleaning the transmission assembly (i'ld recommend every 10k kms), since the variators & clutch will be stripped for cleaning.

cheers

wow! read that the GT uses the same engine as our FJS but yet your FC can achieve 27+km/L, that's really very good :thumb:

IMO, dun waste your time with the semi-syn, go straight to the full-syn eo after run in.

btw, strongly suggest not to use heavier eo coz you'll risk burning your magneto (aka alternator coil); the owners' manual recommends ##w30 or ##w40 multi-grade eo. heard from mech that heavier eo doesn't splash enough to cool the magneto down, thus coils get overheated and then kaput. some of us used w50 and had it burnt. i got mine changed under warranty but the inconvenience is $%$#& o_O another thing to change would be your final transmission oil; owners' manual recommends ##w40 multi-grade oil.

many of us just use a 10w40 oil for both engine oil and transmission oil change

IC..hmm at what mileage shd i change to full-sync? yup was surprised about the FC too.. Gonna see how much my full tank can last me...so far reading is taken from the digital meter. Usually whats the accurate method to calculate FC?

Read somewhere same engine, but different cam design. Honda published 32km/l @ 60km/h.

So for run-in, also better to use 10w40 or 10w30 mineral then? ;)

A shop owner told me he tested the new SW-T400 and felt less power than the old model. Dunno how true is that. So maybe that's how the FC improves. It will be amazing if they can improve FC and maintain power at the same time

For SW-T400, are there still Euro and JDM variants? If so, is it still Euro is BS and JDM is PI? Thanks :)

HI,

maybe i noe is it oni moto the diablo scoot tyre cost 175? Any other place with that pricin??

we aren't able to tell whether can get better prices elsewhere but that the price we usually get at motoworld (muji) and KC (ah chong). if you're a friend of muji, should be able to get further discounts (dun say i say one hor) i think motoworld is the distributor of diablo scoot :p

btw, the prices posted in the forum is only to provide a guide, so that fellow SWingers dun get kotok when they go around asking. i've heard of shops quoting the diablo scoot for >$200 a pair, an outright ripoff right o_O

btw, i got my pair for $145 last year, being the first SW that motoworld did... whahahaha

how about we start our first meetup of Jan 2010 with a simple DIY session incorporated?

Date: 14 Jan 2010

Time: 7pm~10pm

Place: KKFC

apart from the http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Animals/animals-13.gif and TCSS, its also a good time to see what enhancements others put into the already very smooth SW :shades:

maybe someone will be sporting hyperpro in front forks, hagon rear shocks, sports windshield, leo vince full system, K&N air filter, denso IUH4D, raizin VS/PA2/Revtec, 14S batt, HID, metzeler feelfree wintec tyres, leather seat, BMW throttle grips, pillion hand-rest, "build-in" intercom & entertainment systems, GPS, fog lights, "X-mas tree" LED lights, etc... this SW can fly liow.

sounds like a GW.. whahahaha

also hope to see the new SWT400 or GT there

if weather allows and our expert agrees, we'll get someone to demo something simple like:

. air-screw synchronisation

. adjusting idling revs

. changing sparkplugs

too bad cannot do change of eo/filter or coolant... whahahaha

Wow the GT version sounded like the JDM 400 version with the OD button. Jus like the Old Auto Transmission car. OverDrive for Added torque(also makan more fuel la)....
