Maybe the only way to test is for me to join you on a trip. I will try to apply for visa :) for me, took me almost 5 hours to reach KL by car. I think it's about 400km. So option 2 at 750km seems a bit optimistic to cover in 1 day

hi SW Gurus,

Im still in the hunt for a SW...

Juz wondering if anyone knows (or rather feels) any bike shops that give a better loan for SW purchases ?

The ones Ive spotted are either too expensive direct from the shops or good deals from private owners but hard to get sufficient loans from shops..

All comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Happy CNY to all!!

Huat ah! :D

The shops are over-charging interests for resale bikes considering that it's a secured loan. 8% flat rate for 2 years is equivalent to paying 16% more for the bike; 24% for 3 years; 32% for 4 years... You do the maths...

I think you may be able to try your luck with finance companies instead.

this one is only baby shark, the big great whites are the credit card companies... gotta pay them something like 24% p.a. (charged on a daily basis) on compound interest basis aka 利滚利, and if you don't pay, they don't need to buy chains or paint or pig heads since they can take you to court and suck you dry legally :faint:

moral is... spend within ability to fully repay :thumb:

if wanna arrive at Air Papan Beach at 1015hrs, you'ld probably have to set off earlier as the sections from Perling to Kota Tinggi (especially along jln pandan and jln kota tinggi) is plagued with traffic.

its the same roads we took when going to jason bay and there're trucks and buses which "hog" the flow. overtaking these juggernaughts safely takes time, especially in convoy. if you remember, we took about 2 hrs to arrive at jason bay, which is much nearer than mersing.

but if the group plans to ride faster, then maybe can make it lor :cheeky:

Now I'm thinking of fixing the high rev 3rmp to move off problem by changing the spring at that hold the clutch pad. Any recommendation on where can I get the springs, which brand and how much are they. Alway kana smoke by Honda kups and other bikes.:faint:

At the same time, the pigeon or rat move into my bike transmission area to stay. I can hear pigeon or rat like sound comIng frm there everytime I move off at stationary.

read somewhere that somebody drilled holes into the clutch arms to reduce the mass so that the clutch engages at higher 3.5k to 4.5k rpm to remove the pigeon sound during move-off. said the sound was due to resonance at a certain frequency.

so you can also try to attach weights (like wheel balancer weights) to the clutch arm instead of trying to find softer clutch springs to get the clutch to engage at lower rpm. but dunno if it will cause more pigeon sound. maybe worth a try

hehe. Remember somebody cleared 150km/h++ on route 3 towards Mersing?

Expected average 80km/h on 1st part then when at straight road to Mersing, should be maintaining 100km/h+.

Just back from a tyre pressue top up after not using for a week. Was rather bored and decided to take a peek at the horn area and noticed that the coolant is just slightly above the minimum.

I have a Diax coolant which says best use as a 35% concentrate. Question is can I just use it w/o diluting as I'm just topping up or do I really need to dilute with 65% distilled water before pouring in?

Huh? Like this also can? Follow heart for me means easiest way which is to use the full concentrate. No need to get distilled water and no extra bottles to keep :p

No issue with too "strong" coolant?

how do you guys react to side winds??

had been traveling on BKE and SLE lately , and the side wind was so strong ,

i was only @ 80km/hr and i feel the scooter is lifting lol~

my concern is more on touring , because i heard in NSHW the side wind could kick in out of sudden :dot:
