if you do not have a PA policy yet, strongly suggest you go get one to cover the "coverage gap". please check with your respective insurance companies/agents.

 

added: remember to declare that you're riding a motorcycle, as some PA policies do not cover motorcycling activities including pillion riding. in some cases, the insured person may need to pay higher premium to include additional coverage.

e.g. see page 5 of 10 in NTUC's Policy Schedule (aka Terms and Conditions), Part III, Para 1 section (o).

unlike Personal Accident (PA) policies from AIA, Prudential, NTUC, etc., SAF group Term Life Insurance DO NOT offer medical coverage, it covers only death and total permanent disability.

i.e. money for bills on medical, hospital, emergency evacuation, etc. need to come from somewhere else, like our own pockets.

During my tourings days with GWS, we would buy travel insurance. Just need to pay extra loading for biking activities and Medivac & all medical covered.

 

I will never get NTUC as they're No Trouble Until Claimed ....

think you've misread the post liow... we've moved from travel insurance to PA coverage for the rider throughout the year

If you look for 2nd hand Tmax, garage sale i saw got 1 or 2 on sale now.... you can check it out there.... hear from zesture, the riding position for Tmax is not comfy de leh, if you want to ride for touring, maybe you need to re-consider.

 

If for local usage, then shld be fine, i saw ppl fix with yoshi tri-oval full system, damm chio n nice sound man ... but hor, very expensive, was told $1.6k after discount price liao and hor, LTA not approve yet.... sigh...

Just checked, the PA i signed with DBS thru telemarketing covered motorcycle as well, world wide @ $16.90 per month. yay!

 

also, to add one more insured person, it will be $30.24 for both.
